Bel Rae Senior Living in Mounds View, MN
4.7

We chose Bel Rae Senior Living because of the newness of the building, the friendly and helpful staff members, and the overall accommodations as well. He has a 1 bedroom apartment and it is a little on the smaller side if your have more furniture. The food is ok and they keep striving to improve it. Overall, I would recommend to others who are looking.

Meadow Woods - Martin Luther Campus in Bloomington, MN
5.0

I think they do a great job at Meadow Woods! The staff here is very friendly and easy to work with. They've been very accommodating in regards to some billing issues we've had in regards to getting funding with the VA straightened out. The facility itself is well kept and clean, and they do a great job looking after the people who live here!

Saint Therese of Woodbury
4.5

Cannot think of one negative thing to say about this facility. It is a beautiful property with many amenities. The staff is amazing. Every level of care is given by extremely professional and kind members of St Therese staff. I was a patient for 6weeks and was extremely happy with everything, and everyone that I came in contact with. God bless all of you. Please don’t lose that amazing level of care, like other facilities in the area. Thank you for everything. Sorry I am so late in adding this review, but I am still getting out patient PT....which will resume shortly.

Complete guide to independent living

Richfield, Minnesota

Independent Living

An Independent Living Community permits residents the chance to continue to live an active life while assuring their basic needs are met. Basic chores such as meal preparation and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is provided, allowing residents an opportunity to use their time as they wish, free from daily responsibilities. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and interests. Within the individual units, residents have access to their own private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a companion if they choose. While policies vary between locations, many residences allow pets as well. If medical or nursing care is desired, residents may always utilize the services of private care providers. There are a variety of expenditures and advantages to keep in mind while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to learn if these amenities are included in the care plan: field trips, private phone, meals, internet access, initial assessment fee, housekeeping, wellness program, and cable TV. The benefits associated with independent living include community activities, restaurant-style dining hall, private rental hall, security guards, concierge services, healthcare center, beauty salon & barber shop, and laundry service.
