Flourish Senior Living

My father was reluctant to move to assisted living, but quickly felt at home at Flourish with the help of the friendly staff and variety of neighbors. Over the past three years Flourish has adapted to his needs by providing individualized supports to help him remain independent as long as possible. The building itself rivals any modern condo. The staff do not wear scrubs or have medicine carts making the assisted aspect nearly invisible. This was a big factor to me when I was looking at our options as I didn’t want him to feel like he was in a nursing home.

The biggest difference between Flourish Senior Living and [community name removed] is the quality and friendliness of the staff. the willingness to work through problems and communicate with residents. Flourish has been more than eager to maneuver change as needed. Both communities are different in all areas from housing to food but we would recommend Flourish to other families.

The staff does not work on the weekends. Many days they are gone long before 5:00. We hear comments like "that isn't my job" or even a flat out refusal to help. It is becoming more and more that they only have the Chef in the kitchen and no servers. Most mornings, they are out of something. From plates and silverware to milk and bread and fruit. The portion sizes are shrinking to approximately a tablespoon instead of a cup. The owner had a meeting with the residents just last week and basically told us if they can't afford the increase January 1st, we could start looking elsewhere. Most of the residents are on fixed incomes and cannot afford to stay and cannot afford to move. Most are very upset and feel that they are not getting responses to their questions. There are no scheduled activities on the weekends. Flourish is a newer building and is comfortable surroundings, but without any experience with other facilities I don't know if I could recommend living here. I'm on the younger side and am fairly independent, so I get along pretty good but some of my neighbors that need more assistance are struggling. Our bus that takes us to the store has been broken down for 5 weeks. They hired a van for the day, but only made it available to residents that cannot get to the store or has family in the immediate area to take them.

I'm very, very happy with my living conditions, the management, the staff, and the people that live here. It's an excellent community.

I would not recommend it. High turnover of staff. For what we pay, we aren't getting those services.

We chose Flourish Senior Living because it was very clean, updated, and modern. Monday through Friday activities are provided for the residents so there is plenty to do. The value for the money is great for anyone who is doing private pay. My dad does not like the food at all, I think they should offer alternatives for residents to choose from when they do not like the entrée that is being served. Overall I would still recommend them to others.

We love it here, we love the size of the apartments the space is very livable. The community is very well kept and the staff members have always been very friendly. They work really hard to get to know all the residents by name. They offer a lot of activities and they have a wide variety of meals to choose from. They also have two elevators.

I would highly recommend the community to others for their loved ones. They helped with the transition of my loved one into the community. The community has options of food, and my loved one enjoys the quality and variety of food offered. This is a friendly community and my loved one has made several friends in a short amount of time. There is bingo, chair yoga, games, and more for the residents to choose from for activities. There has also been a variety of outside entertainment and food trucks. There is a hair salon and soon to be nail trimming options.

The Flourish community has been really good for our loved one so far even though it is on the pricier side. Our loved one is very religious, and they are now going to start provided church services for her, which we really appreciate. We love their newsletter announcements of different meals families can be invited to, different events, and outdoor picnics, it makes us feel very included. We would recommend this community to others.

Overall this is a good community, they keep it clean and neat, and the staff is very friendly. The food is good and they have activities for the residence to participate in. I would recommend this community to others.

The cleanliness of the community and friendliness of the staff members would be a five plus. The location really stood out to us as well as the value for cost. The staff are once again just extremely friendly from top to bottom from the nursing services to the house keeping. They really go the extra mile and go out of their way to make sure our loved one is happy. They do temperature checks everyday, make sure everyone has bee vaccinated and do overall wellness checks.

The community new and they have lots of natural light in each room. They have plenty of parking. The staff is very friendly and they do a great job. Communication is good and they have multiple ways to communicate with the staff. I would recommend this community to others based on my expeierence.

This community is absolutely perfect for anyone looking for senior housing. The staff is exceptional, I never thought that I would end up in such a wonderful community. I would recommend this community to anyone. I couldn't be happier

My mom has settled in and so happy with her “home”. The staff stays connected and interested in the residents. Flourish is only 50% occupied, but filling fast.
