In addition to monthly rent of $4000 in rent for assisted living, Sholom Community Alliance charges for services the residents need. That's fine, but the charges are egregiously high. For example, if you need your hearing aids cleaned, they charge $95.00. I called the hearing aid store that is a block away. They offer the same service for $10.00. Sholom has a captive customer, and they take advantage of every aspect of that. Need help going to the bathroom, three times per day? That'll be $1,400 per month!!! Crooks!!!!!

visited on oct.14th. The director gave us the tour. Impressed with how clean it was. Concerned that there didn't seem to be men in area for Dad. Rooms seemed nice and he could bring in his own chair, tv. etc. Wouldn't have scooter so also concerned he'd stay in his room too much? Not clear on cost.
