Activity director is good and facility is clean. Biggest thing to improve on is the quality of care. Staff are rude and sometimes mean to my mom. Timeliness of response is slow. The other area of concern is the pricing/value for cost. Point system is flawed and manipulated to the disadvantage of the my mother. Lack of transparency is frustrating

It is a good facility. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The reason we chose them is cost, availability and vibe of the place.

The value for cost is variable. Pricing is al la carte. If you have minimal needs then pricing is about average. If you have high needs your prices go up dramatically. Basically every additional need will have a cost associated with it. They lack amenities like in house transportation that high price facilities often offer, so that affects the value statement too. On the positive side: Apartments are spacious and much nicer than comparable facilities I toured.

Be there as much as possible to advocate for loved one. Ask loved one if they are getting services they're supposed to and if not, talk directly to person in charge. Question any changes, esp any med changes. Get written copy of care plan. Install cameras that monitor to your phone.

Heathers Manor is a very nice and beautiful facility. It is really fancy, you walk in and there is a big chandelier and big windows. I thought it was great, but my mother thought it was too fancy for her liking. I found their pricing structure to be pretty confusing, I went over it a few times with them and was still lost. It was just not the right fit for her.
My father lived at Heathers Manor for the last 1½ years of his life and had a wonderful experience there. First and foremost, the staff is amazing. Staff members at all levels are very helpful, kind, and compassionate. There are a wide range of activities to keep the residents busy and socially interactive. The Activities Staff is very supportive and will gently encourage residents to participate if they are feeling unsure about it. My father was a “picky” eater, but he was always very happy with the meal choices and quality of the food at Heathers. The facility itself is bright, clean, and well maintained. Selecting an assisted living facility for a loved one can be very stressful because you want everything to be perfect. Heathers Manor provided my father with a wonderful home and all of the assistance that he needed. Having Dad there also gave the rest of the family peace of mind because we knew he was comfortable and being well taken care of. Highly Recommended!

We liked the community. My loved one didn't like the location though.
We chose Heathers Manor because after touring a few places you get a gut feeling when you meet people and see the facility. When we walked in Heathers Manor it just felt right. Both of my daughters were with me and they felt the same way too. The staff are very friendly and you feel at home. They really make an effort to get to know you. I would definitely recommend to others looking.

Bad management. This place of Residence used to be top notch. It's run down, carpets are dirty, dogs running around unsupervised. Food is still being delivered in Styrofoam (still, after 2 years). The parking lot and sidewalks are a complete disaster waiting to happen. What happened?

This place is an absolute mess. Horrible management. Food is still being served in boxes to residents (After two Years). The Sidewalks and driveway are in complete disrepair. Dirty carpeting, very run down. A lot of new staff. Many long-time employee's left I was told.

My mother moved here in May, 2021. We are very disappointed. She was promised outings, movies, a book club, great food, and even a "personal buddy" to introduce her to people. Due to Covid, none of that happened. Eighteen months later they are still bringing food to their rooms in styrofoam containers. The food is JUST AWFUL. They claim that the dining room had some sort of a leak, but still - couldn't they have figured something out? For activities, they still have to wear masks and are 6 feet apart. Therefore, nobody is making friends. My mother is outgoing, and this is the first place she hasn't made friends. Since they have all been vaccinated, I expected that they would make an effort to get my mother a "buddy" and introduce her, but that hasn't happened. Now, their van is damaged, and they can't do outings. The staff is wonderful. Really nice.

The facility is nice and clean. The staff is fine. It's just a matter of them fixing some problems throughout the community. The food is horrible because they're still not in the dining room. They were back in the dining room for two days, and then there was a toilet leak in the room above, which they haven' t gotten around to fixing yet. And they haven't made any kind of accommodations to make things right. They have a van to take residents out of the community, and they've only done it once. Supposedly it's in the shop. I'm just not sure they're working hard to rectify these things. My loved ones haven't really met anybody in the several months they've been there because there's not a lot going on and they're just alone. So I'm hoping things get better over time.

I thought they were amazing. The staff was very knowledgeable, very friendly, and very accommodating. The place was extremely clean. The rooms were nice, and the furniture was comfortable. The food was lacking - it tasted kind of like it came out of a can, with a school lunch type of feel. Other than that, I absolutely would recommend them. The grounds are beautiful as well, and the location is very convenient.
They are really great, they have a very caring staff that have been there a long time and my mom loves it there. We feel really lucky we found this community, It's a smaller facility so it feels homier. They really go all out, the rooms are very nice, and they decorate for the holidays. I have recommended this facility to others.

I have been here since [date removed]. The staff is outstanding and the other residents are warm and welcoming. And, the food is out of this world- 3 chefs that do fabulous meals. The residents range in age from 64-104! All live life to the fullest. Love it here!

A Place for Mom has scored Heathers Manor 8.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
