This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as assessment must be updated by a physician annually or upon a significant change in condition, evaluation of a prospective resident’s cognitive condition, evaluation of a prospective resident’s psychosocial condition, and evaluation of a prospective resident’s physical condition. Public assistance is available through A Medicaid 1915(c) waiver called the Supported Living Program and a 1915(b) waiver called the Managed Long-Term Services and Supports program. Staff must receive education in a variety of areas. These include: disaster procedures, residents’ need and service plans, infection control, and neglect prevention. This community type has a number of provisions pertaining to medication assistance. These provisions include documenting whether or not the resident took the medication, only a licensed health care professionall employed by the community may administer medications, and medication administration.
