Staff is really nice. They look out for my mother. Like if she misses a meal, they check in on her. Oh the appt transportation is a pain. It's only available 2 days a week half day. Have to get approval ahead of time. And the they drive you but do not assist into building. When it's a large medical bldg this is difficult for someone in a wheelchair.
Our experience with this community was good, overall it is kept pretty clean. The care services are pretty reliable, the activities were however a little bit weaker. The food at this community was very good, and we really liked the responsiveness of the staff and the availability the memory care unit had
My mom is doing great at The Residence at Melrose Station! The staff are taking very good care of her. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would absolutely recommend this community to other families! It is not cheap but it is worth the money.

For many seniors, the cost burden of home ownership and the maintenance of daily tasks and chores might be a deterrent to enjoying an otherwise independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities offer a great solution. Basic chores such as meal planning and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is maintained, allowing residents an opportunity to use their time as they choose, free from daily responsibilities. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Residents’ quarters consist of private living spaces, each with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering an opportunity to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies vary between communities, a number of residences allow cats and dogs as well. Nursing and health care services may always be arranged for with independent care providers as desired. There are a number of costs and advantages to keep in mind when choosing an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these amenities are included in the service plan: utilities, meals, wellness program, transportation, laundry, move-in fee, parking, and field trips. The amenities associated with independent living include healthcare center, laundry service, community activities, restaurant-style dining hall, game/TV room, beauty salon & barber shop, private rental hall, and transportation.
