I have been here since [date removed]. Every day I feel loved by the staff. I have notes because I can't member names and that embarrasses me. The food is better than I can prepare myself. This is a great place to be.

Putnam Farm at Danvers
4.9

Staff is really nice. They look out for my mother. Like if she misses a meal, they check in on her. Oh the appt transportation is a pain. It's only available 2 days a week half day. Have to get approval ahead of time. And the they drive you but do not assist into building. When it's a large medical bldg this is difficult for someone in a wheelchair.

Scandinavian Living Center in West Newton, MA
4.8

The whole place has a very friendly atmosphere. SLC offers a lot of programs that are open to people who live in the surrounding community, so the residents feel like they are still part of the community. The food is very good. I would recommend Scandinavian Living Center to others.

Complete guide to independent living

Independent Living

If you or your loved one desire the peace of mind of having your chores handled by professionalls while living the way you desire, think about the option of independent living. Meals, recreational activities and housekeeping duties are taken care of for you while you are unencumbered to use your time as you desire. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and interests. Residents’ quarters consist of a private living space with their own kitchen. The independence of apartment life is still enjoyed, offering opportunities to socialize with guests and visitors in a private and personal setting. While policies differ between locations, a number of residences allow cats and dogs as well. Nursing and health care services may always be arranged for with independent care providers as desired.
