My loved one is currently a resident at The Arbors at Stoneham. Overall, this facility is not a bad place and the staff try their best, they just need more help. The director of the Memory Care unit is nice and listens and corrects where she can. There have been issues with making sure that showers are given and that the bathroom in my loved one's unit is being cleaned and the laundry being done. I do know that the Memory Care unit is short staffed, which directly contributes to this. The staff that they do have are nice and they engage with my loved one. The food could be improved for lunch and dinner. The activities are appropriate and they do get the whole facility together daily. The events that I have been to have been nice. Overall, I know all facilities have some issues. My loved one doesn't always use her help/call button that she has and that is a problem. I would recommend this facility to others.... Read more
The Arbors at Stoneham in Stoneham, Massachusetts, is an assisted living and memory care community marked by an airy foyer with cathedral ceilings, a state-of-the-art campus designed to meet the needs of your loved one. Founded in 2014, the community has 58 traditional residences and 26 for memory support. The Arbors at Stoneham is among ten communities in the family-owned and operated business with a quarter of a century of experience in serving seniors.
Your loved one can be helped with everyday tasks such as grooming, and taking medications. Nurses are available throughout the day and on-site health care visits — including for physical therapy, occupational therapy, podiatry, and audiology — eliminate the need for inconvenient trips outside the community. Weekly housekeeping and personal laundry services take away the hassle of household chores.
In the memory care neighborhood, residents have individualized care plans overseen by caregivers with specialized training and specialized services and amenities designed for seniors living with dementia.
The Arbors builds a strong community through its resident council, daily programs, weekly shopping trips, and group fitness classes. Several common areas — including lounges with fireplaces, outdoor patios, a library, and a pub — invite residents to join in conversation with others.

My loved one is a resident at The Arbors and overall things have been okay. The staff friendliness is great. They have activities and try to keep the residents engaged. The care services are good. My only complaint is the food quality.

My loved one is a resident at The Arbors at Stoneham. The overall experience has been good. The staff are nice. The housekeeping is good. The meals are okay. Like any apartment, families can come and go during hours. Other families need to know it's not a Nursing Home, it's Assisted Living. Big difference. For my loved one's case, the location is great because it's in my town. I can't rate the Value for Cost as I have nothing to compare to.

They are more than accommodating for my aunt's needs. The staff are friendly, very helpful, and concerned about her well being. I wish she would participate in activities, but they respect her choice. Also the residents themselves are so friendly and nice. You can tell they are well taken care of.

We like the place and feel it is the right place for my loved one. There have been a couple of times for the staff took longer to get back to me than I had anticipated. The community was able to walk us through the integration of our loved one into the community. Also, let us know the timeline that it would take for our loved one to adjust to the community. The staff are responsive to my loved one's care needs. I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones.

What stuck out to my mother the most about The Arbors was the overall feeling we got when walking it, it was definitely the most homey and comfortable place that we saw and it is a smaller community. She has a 1 bedroom deluxe room so it is plenty big enough for her things. So far things have worked out pretty well and we would recommend them to other families.

We have been very happy with The Arbors. We chose this facility because of the convenient location, I wanted to be able to get to her and see her often. It is also more reasonably priced because they have a roommate option. The activities director that they had was absolutely amazing but she did just leave last week so we have high hopes. It is expensive but to me it is worth every penny. The staff are all very nice and really care for the residents,

We think The Arbors is terrific. You can tell that the staff truly care about their residents. There is not a single person here that is not always happy and in s positive mood. They do seem to have a lot of great activities provided and they do a good job trying to get mom to participate. I would recommend them and already have.

The staff are extremely nice, helpful and have great response times. The meals and dining service is a hit or miss, the main diet is a lot of chicken and pasta, they could do more with a variety. Everything is included with the price - big reason we chose this community. No nickel and dime.

My brother, sister in law, and I started with a list of six communities when we were seeking a new place for Mom. She had made the decision to trade the comfort of her home of 55+ years for the convenience and safety of Assisted Living. The Arbors at Stoneham was the first place we looked at, and I think we all knew it was the right place, but we looked at all the other options so we could be sure we'd done due diligence. Sure enough, we ended up back at The Arbors. What convinced us? Caring people, a very open and sunny campus, homey apartments, good food, lots of very varied activities. And did I mention caring people?? It is the number one reason why this place stands head and shoulders above everyplace else we looked at. Mom has been there three weeks now, and it was rocky in the beginning. It's a tough adjustment. But now she is loving the community, loving the staff, loving the mealtime socializing especially. This is the right place.

The person that runs the community is excellent. The staff are easy to talk to. I would recommend your loved ones go there. I would change nothing about the community. The best thing is the Executive Director.

My dad is happy here. The staff is wonderful. They communicate frequently with my family with status updates. They know my dad and are attentive to is needs. The nursing staff pays attention to details. The apartment is beautiful and the setup is great. The community is tastefully decorated and kept nice and clean. The food is pretty good. They have 3 meals a day. They have list of daily activities he can join and have frequent special events. They have a pool table and he loves that. He is playing cards with other residents. They have a nice outdoor area and beautiful sunrooms on each level. I would highly recommend this community.

My loved ones have only lived here a short time, however things are going well. They have hired a new chef. The caregivers have been great and the people I worked with in the beginning were wonderful. The community is clean and the grounds are well maintained. This is a newer community that is bright, cheery, active and has a warm feeling when you walk in.

We looked at quite a few communities ranging from the South Shore to the North Shore and this was the best fit. It is close to my mother's doctors. The community itself is almost brand new only a couple of years old it is always bright and shiny very well kept and clean. The staff is amazing here they know the residents by name and the family members they are so nice. My mom does the activities and goes to the social events. She loves the food and the only complaint she has is the portions are too much.We would highly recommend this community.
