From the moment we walked into Windsor, both my sister and I felt at ease. This was our third tour that day and we were in urgent need to get my Mom situated all while also dealing with getting my Dad from hospital to rehab and then planning for his future too. We were stressed to say the least. We met two residents right away and they were so happy, welcoming and reminded us of our Mom. We then met Sandra and she took the weight of the world off our shoulders like it was her only job in that moment. Since that first encounter, we have been so impressed with the cleanliness, the friendliness and knowledge level of every staff member, my Mom is interacting with so many activities and people, we are pleased beyond our expectations. My Dad is moving in on Monday and we would not have even thought of picking anywhere different!... Read more

We learned of Windsor Place and decided to use the 30 day respite stay to assess if assisted living was the right path for our Mom. [Name removed] (the director) immediately impressed us on the tour knowing each guest by name while being able to connect with them at different levels. Once we decided to stay the team was phenomenal, the maintenance staff with ensuring the cable was in place and the utilities were all working. The nurse station is always staffed and the ladies all know my family by name. The structure, meals and activities have changed the quality of our mothers life. To know your Mom is being cared for and in a safe space cant be put into words Windsor Place made this happen for our family.

Mom was not really eating much while she was there. Did hear from some residents they were less than thrilled with the food. Mom was not able to participate in most activities. Price is high but honestly lower than most other places that we looked at.

I'm very happy with the service, care, follow through they give to my mom, and concern they have. The staff are easy to work with if there are questions or concerns and they are very quick tor responding. My loved one is receiving assistance with bathing, medication management, and redirection when needed. They also take care of the housekeeping, and laundry of linens. Some of the activities include puzzles, exercise, games, arts and crafts, religious activities, field trips, outside music, and more for the residents to choose from. Windsor Place does have transportation if needed for the residents to use.

Don't go. My friend went there and was there for 2 days. They didn't have a bed rail up and fell out the bed and broke his hip. I asked for a refund as he was only there for 2 days and they refused. I Would not recommend.

The staff is very kind and caring people and the community is very clean. I would have no problem putting a loved one here. Communication is good between the staff and myself. I would recommend this community to others.

We were extremely happy with my 84 yr old Mom's placement at Windsor Place for her 5 week stay for respite. The staff was very professional and kind and took time to get to know my Mom. There were enough activities to keep her busy. My Mom had a studio that was newly painted and the carpets were cleaned before she arrived. Family is responsible for all linens, Kleenex, toilet paper. There is a small kitchenette and a 3/4 refrigerator in the room. Mom was able to fix her own cereal and fruit each morning as she chose not to eat in the dining room at that time of day. Meals were healthy and the dining room set up was like eating at a restaurant with menus and waitstaff. All around a very clean and nice environment for our family member.

My tour of the Windsor Place of Wilmington went great. The community was very nice and very well kept up. The people were friendly and welcoming. The only downfall was the fact that they did not offer low-income housing, which is what my father needed.

A close friend of mine who knew I was searching for a beautiful and supportive community for my father recommended Windsor Place. From the moment you enter the doors, it is clear that the staff is highly professional, attentive and kind. The grounds are beautiful and everyone is genuinely happy. Every detail down to the selection of food has been carefully curated and I now have such peace of mind that my father has a wonderful accommodation!
