First, you need to see this facility. They did a major renovation and it looks so different. It has been modernized and looks amazing. My Mom has been at Brandywine for a few years. It is a tough decision to make when your loved one needs more care than what you can give. The apartments are roomy. The food is wonderful. There are so many activities that one will never get bored. My Mom is now on the Reflections-Memory Care Unit. The care and support that she receives is amazing. She is well cared for. The staff is so genuine and supportive to my Mom and family. Administration takes the time to talk with you and answer your questions. It is like an extended family. I am so happy with making the decision to move my Mom to Brandywine.
Dave the activity man is such a asset to Artman ,he is really trying to help my Mom and all the residents .He takes a real interest and will find family members and update them on how their loved one is doing .My Mom really likes him ! So glad he is there !
I can't recommend the community due to the way we exited the community. We had multiple attempts to reconcile a balance due and it was never resolved and we never heard back on a resolution to this.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home facility provides room and board to at least two persons who are not related by blood or by marriage to the administrator. This type of establishment offers its residents 24-hour care administered by registered nurses. These caregivers provide health related services for those who cannot care for their own needs because of mental or physical conditions.
Nursing homes can be a familiar and easy living alternative for individuals 65 years and above, however nursing homes will commonly allow persons 55 and above which is for other senior care types. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to get information on services and fees, participate in activities, make complaints, and to manage your money. Often times persons may decide life in a nursing home over another type of facility due to a physical or mental disability that makes it difficult for them to accomplish their lifestyle goals. Many occupants are bachelors or widows who have smaller social support groups, and about 50% of nursing home residents are older than 85 years old. Nursing homes are required to provide pharmaceutical services, medically-related social services, emergency dental services, and specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability) to residents. The most common mental condition effecting nursing home residents is dementia, which can cloud their and familiarity with their surroundings, memory recall, and decision making capabilities.
