Response from Plush Mills Senior Living
September 11, 2023Thank you so much for your 5-star review. We appreciate that you have shared your positive experience with others. Our staff care for the residents as they would their own family members and our community prides itself on its family-like atmosphere.
I would look carefully at the community and meals as with my friend the meals are not adequate for them. The community does try to work with dietary restrictions but it doesn't always work. The staff and community otherwise are very good to work with.

Plush Mills was the first facility that we saw. It is a beautiful facility, but their independent living section and assisted living section are completely different. Once they opened the doors to assisted living it was dark and not cheery at all. Also all of the rooms were studios and we wanted mom to have an actual apartment.
The apartment sizes at Plush Mill are great. The staff members have been so helpful and willing to do whatever residents may need, they are definitely the facilities biggest asset and ll around lovely people. I would absolutely recommend them to others who are looking.

The people who work there really are fantastic and very caring, and they interact with the residents a lot. From the first time our parents went to dinner they knew their names and welcomed them. They are happy and it seems like a great place.

My mom has been at Plush Mills for over two years now. As an independent living resident, she loved the socialization and staff. I was able to meet many of her friends and was happy that she was happy. In [date removed], she moved to Personal Care due to progressing dementia. Although she remains very active, Plush Mills has been unwilling to communicate with me to provide the things that had made her happy, even excluding her from seeing her old friends. In trying to understand and work with them, they threatened to ask my mom if I asked them any questions. I think Plush Mills is a fabulous place and a fabulous community but lacks transparency and understanding.

We toured this community with my mom. She did not like the hotel feeling of this community. We met with a nurse and she was able to answer questions. The were aggressive on my mom moving in. We did not see the meals that were offered. The community was clean and maintained. My mother did not find this to be a place for her, but other families might want to check community

This is a lovely community. Unfortunately my mother will be moving out, but it isn't the community fault, it is her choice. It is nice looking community. They do a good job with the cleanliness of the facility. The staff is friendly and kind. It was good experience.

I had a tour here and it was a nice community to visit. It was a very large facility and this would not be a good match for our mom. We were given a tour and treated with respect and kindness.

I know people who live at Plush Mills and they've been very satisfied with their experience there. One of them for a several years and one who moved in last year. They've especially liked the staff, the food, and their neighbors. They've made really good friends there and said the people who work there go out of their way for you.

A Place for Mom has scored Plush Mills Senior Living 8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
