The gardens in the back along with all of the above. Food was delicious, staff was very friendly, the facility was clean and there were no unpleasant odors. I also liked having a washer and dryer right there on the floor as I would come and do my sister's laundry during a visit. I was there 2 to 3 times a week, every week. We would have dinner together. I always enjoyed it. Afterwards, I would take her out to the back garden and we would sit. Then I would wheel her around the property. My sister told me that she was content. Atria had great activities and helped my mom be more engaged with other people which was helpful during a challenging time. They helped my mom eat better and exercise so she was able to move back to her house. I would definitely look to atria if she needed to go back to an assisted living facility in the future

My sister was well taken care of here. Our facilitator was a true, caring individual and did everything for us. Also, the head of the memory care department was wonderful.

The staff is super friendly and nice, but they have very little decision power. Also the level of care they offer is very limited by their license. They are great for low level of care, but as the needs increase, you'll be forced to look for a different facility.

Overall Atria was very nice but in my opinion they misrepresented the level of care they offered and were unable to support many of the medical needs due to having no on staff nurse. As a result my mom was sent to the ER for what seemed like everything and they were calling me every day. Eventually we transferred her to [community name removed] in Lafayette Hill where she was supported much more. No issues with medication or emergency room visits

All of my interactions with the staff have been pleasant. They have managed to build a team that appears to share values & perspective that focus on supporting the people there in a way that makes the residents feel respected & valued.

Response from Atria Lafayette Hill
May 9, 2024Thank you so much for your review of the staff and services at Atria Lafayette Hill. Our dedicated team works hard to care for our residents and we appreciate your thoughtful comments.
After several falls, trips to ER, Atria refused to take her back, saying they did not have adequate staff, especially at night, to ensure her safety. She ended up in hospice/memory care at [name removed] which was SUPERB. Mother liked almost everything about Atria. Staff was first rate. Food was excellent. Clean. Friendly. I felt they were really striving to improve after a couple of lean years. But they got caught in the staffing crisis that has affected every similar facility. They were completely transparent with us.

We picked this community because of the availability at the time. They had an immediate memory care opening.

Everyone was extremely friendly and courteous . The only negative point was whether it was an accounting question or the nurse getting back to me regarding general questions was a little slow and took several attempts to get answers. The reason my mom and I went with Atria was because it was a new building. The staff was extremely friendly. Food was pretty good and price was reasonable. Look, there's not a facility out there that has a perfect score and I would definitely refer Atria to my family and friends and I have.

Everyone I've interacted with there has been genuinely kind and cared about the well-being of my loved one. The thing that stuck out most about Atria Lafayette Hill over others that we looked into was the fact that it felt more so like an apartment building and less so like a medical facility - we really liked that.

Response from Atria Lafayette Hill
July 11, 2023We are thrilled to have you as part of the Atria family! Thank you for sharing your kind words with us. It means the world to us and to our team!
I liked Atria but [community name removed] was less expensive and more suitable for my mom. Atria was very clean and large but i think my mom would have felt overwhelmed by the size. It somewhat resembles a modern resort or hotel.
Response from Atria Lafayette Hill
June 19, 2023Hello, Thank you for visiting with us! Looking forward to welcoming your mom to the Atria family!
That no matter where you go you need to keep an eye on your family members health. Atria is a beautiful place and I was very pleased with everything. I know he would have enjoyed it. I don't understand how that many caregivers could not see that he was not well. But I did like this place better than the others I've visited.

We liked the tour of Atria Lafayette Hill. We found another community in the area that is newer and a better location for family to visit our loved one.
Facilities are new, modern, spotless. Everyone--from management to aides to housekeeping is friendly, knows your name, and seems to like working there. Activities are excellent, numerous and varied. Movies in a real theatre twice a day. Each evening and then repeated the next afternoon. Physicians, nurses, PT and OT, hair etc all easy to access. Worked out meds with local pharmacy that delivers and is in network for insurance.

We toured Atria Lafayette Hill and it was great! The facility was very nice. The staff was great. The cleanliness and overall friendliness was great, too! However, we were looking for something that was completely all inclusive.

A Place for Mom has scored Atria Lafayette Hill 9.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
