Recent reviews of Nursing Homes in Springfield, VA
Modena Reserve at Kensington
5.0

I think all 7 categories meet the mark, but they should, since this an upscale facility and more costly than others. The staff is terrific. My wife has difficult Lewy body dementia and the facility does well. I'm happy with it.

Forest Hills of DC in Washington, DC
4.6

My sister has lived at Forest Hills in the Health Care Center for a while. Before the pandemic, they had wonderful activities as well as great nursing care. In the pandemic they have done an incredible job to keep everyone safe, to figure out ways to have safe activities and/or virtual or safe visitation zones (following CDC guidelines). The staff is working under challenging circumstances and they continue to be kind, patient and deliver high quality care. We are so very grateful my sister can live in such a great facility.

English Meadows Prince William Campus in Manassas, VA

The community really helped my loved one improve his mobility and he was himself again. The community was clean and neat and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend this community to others.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is an establishment that houses two or more persons who have no personal ties to the administrator. A nursing home facility provides its residents with around-the-clock care administered by on-site nurses. These nurses offer care for those who cannot take care of their needs.

This type of facility is a convenient and easy living option for individuals 65 years and above, however nursing homes will frequently take in persons 55 and above seldomheard of in senior care regarding alternate care types.A significant amount of residents tend to be single women with smaller social support groups, and almost fifty percent of nursing home residents are older than the age of 85. Nursing homes are required to provide dietary services, nursing and related services, specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), and room and bed maintenance services to residents. A large portion of nursing home residents are persons who experience difficulty seeing and hearing, have incontinence issues, require assistance with daily tasks such as walking, or have mental or physical disabilities. There are some services that may come at a cost to residents which can include specially prepared food, special care services not included in the facility’s Medicaid payment, and flowers and plants. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to exercise your rights as a U.S. citizen, get proper medical care, be free from discrimination, and get proper privacy, property, and living arrangements.
