My loved one is currently a resident at The Landing at Alexandria and the overall experience has been good so far. They transitioned to a new management company early on. There were some issues in the beginning, but it is getting better. The meals are very good. The move in process was easy. Communication with the family could improve. About the facility The Landing at Alexandria

WELCOME TO THE LANDING, THERE’S ALWAYS MORE TO EXPLORE.

A vibrant, thriving community, The Landing in Alexandria, Virginia offers a range of possibilities as breathtaking as its panoramic views of the Potomac River and Washington, D.C. Here, residents are in the heart of one of Northern Virginia’s most desirable new neighborhoods—a cultural and intellectual hub offering convenient access to leading universities, the cobblestone streets of Old Town, shopping, and much more.

This lifestyle-focused community provides Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care, all with expert caregivers that become like family in a setting that truly feels like home. The Landing isn’t what you’d expect from senior living—and that’s precisely the point.

Gazing down on National Landing and Potomac Yard, The Landing offers awe-inspiring vistas through floor-to-ceiling windows. But why settle for seeing, when there’s so much to be doing? Here, three world-class restaurants satisfy even the most discerning palates, while a wine bar and lounge provide a wealth of opportunities for connection. Outdoor sculpture gardens and landscaped verandas reflect the beauty of Virginia’s changing seasons. Open floor plans and other design choices create an atmosphere that has a sense of flow and energy.

A well appointed facility with a competent staff. As with all food service facilities, they struggle to keep sufficient staff, Te overall staff are positive and strive to provide good service. Recent staff upgrades have resulted in improved services.

Review for The Landing at Alexandria

We picked this community because it allows all the residents to live with dignity. It doesn't look like an assisted living nor memory care. The modern feel makes you feel as though you're living in a hotel. The staff goes out of their way to be friendly and helpful. They treat all residents with respect. There are plenty of activities or clubs to join if you choose. The staff makes all the residents feel seen, and at home.

A Place for Mom has scored The Landing at Alexandria 8.4 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.

Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score.
