We went with them because the layout of building, it's one story-which we liked better, the staff we were introduced to (but I think they are a bit understaffed, honestly), the location ( easy to get to without having to sit in I35 traffic) and the facility grounds (they aren't surrounded by other buildings-they have some land, landscaping, a nice "outdoor " feel to enjoy. My father-in-law was only there a couple of weeks when he had a severe stroke and he hasn't moved back in. Follow-up with them hasn't been great. Things might be a bit crazy, as the management has changed recently, but we aren't getting the help we expected.
I've been very pleased with the staff. Their patience with those of us who have all those problems, physical and mental, which is something the family members of the residents should very much appreciate.
The experience is good. The staff is helpful and friendly. We picked this community, because of the overall atmosphere and interaction with the prior ED and sales person. I would recommend to other families.

Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home is a facility that houses at least two persons who have no personal ties to the administrator. This type of facility offers its occupants around-the-clock care by on-site nurses. These caregivers offer maintenance, personal care and other health related services for seniors who cannot take care of themselves.
This type of facility is a helpful and easy care choice for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will often allow access to individuals 55 and older rarely heard of in senior care regarding care types.A large number of residents tend to be single women with less social support, and about fifty percent of nursing home residents are older than 85 years old. A large portion of nursing home occupants are persons who require assistance with daily tasks such as bathing, have incontinence issues, have mental or physical disabilities, or experience difficulty with hearing and vision. Many residents of nursing homes may have behavioral issues. These can consist of verbal outbursts, a tendency to wander, or resisting care. The most frequent mental disease experienced by nursing home residents is dementia, which can hinder their memory function, and familiarity with their surroundings, and decision making abilities.
