Serenity Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care

I began a journey to find the right facility for my 109 year old GOD-Aunt; not due to convenience but out of necessity. We literally ran out of money for 24 hour around the clock care. Thankfully, my GOD-Aunt had long term insurance (not in-home but a facility).I reached out to a Place for Mom and was paired with [name removed]. She led me through the process, found potential facilities based on my wish list, and, thanks to her, she is thriving today in a facility vetted and introduced by [name removed] As I write this summary, I am brought to tears because there is no way I could have found the perfect place without [name removed]. She is a gem. Thank you A Place For Mom for hiring professionals who truly care.

As the husband of a resident at Serenity Oaks Memory Care Facility, I am totally overwhelmed by the superlative care and concern demonstrated by the owner, the management and staff. The owner has been in the eldercare industry since her teen years and her experience shows in the details and operation of both the Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities. Everyone works towards the family feel and resident-centered practices of caregiving. The facilities are only a few years old and well maintained. Apparently there are routinely scheduled "refresh" cycles to keep the like new appearance. I am not a healthcare professional but I am observant. Meds are kept locked up and provided on schedule by certified personnel. Meals are prepared by a chef with a wonderfully positive attitude and range of menus. She once told me her research methods to ensure every resident would have a "memory meal" sometime in their week. She is a hero in my eyes. The mostly female staff no less heroic.

Serenity Oaks is a beautiful, safe, community serving seniors in San Antonio. We are so happy that they are part of the senior living community. [name removed] and [name removed] are a great team, alway available and always going out of the way for our families

You won't be able to find a more caring staff and environment than at Serenity Oaks. The interactions and activities between the staff and residents is something that just shows how much they care. You will not find this at many facilities. The place is clean.modern, a s checks all the boxes for me. I would and have highly recommended Serenity Oaks.

I love Serenity Oaks and their staff. I am sure that my mother is well loved and cared for by their staff. They have great activities and decorate for each holiday. The facilities are always nice and clean and smell great.

The people at serenity oaks took such great care of our sister and of us going through a rough time in our lives They invited us in and envolved us in all of their activities with the residents. They made sure we were kept up to date on our sisters care and treated her like she was part of their family.

Thank you for taking such great care of my aunt, you make all the difference in the world and she's thriving! I love seeing the activities on Facebook. I'm across the country and I'm unable to visit so, I'm extremely thankful she's in good hands.

This is the best place for my mom. She has been so happy since she has been at Serenity oaks. [names removed] seem very knowledgeable in the community and we are nothing but happy with everything mom has gotten.

I wish there was opportunity to leave 10 stars because five just isn’t enough. We’ve been with Serenity Oaks for over two years and when I tell you that these folks have been life-changing, believe me. The entire team is amazing. [names removed], all of the staff. Everybody is so sweet. They are so communicative. Anything that is needed for my mom or if if there’s anything that they need to talk about they just call text or email and we take care of it right away but it’s really nice to know that if I’m not hearing from them that my mom is just fine. they don’t call me for no reason and that’s comforting. There have been a few hiccups with her medication insurance coverage and this group has really helped me work through that. All in all it’s really made my life easier. Have my mom at Serenity Oaks.

I visit serenity Oaks often, so I was happy to leave a review when asked to do so. Everybody is always friendly. The place is always very clean and the patients here are very well taken care of. They are always very content and it’s refreshing to see. if you’re seeking placement for a loved, one, or Friend, look no further.

We have been nothing short of pleased with our experience with serenity Oaks. My grandmother is getting the absolute best care there. Everybody is so friendly. The food is great and the place is always clean. The staff is always smiling. You can tell they really enjoy their jobs.

Staff is very friendly, kind hearted and compassionate. They tend to my Mothers needs and communicate well with the family. [name removed] does a wonderful job with the residents and works very closely with Nursing and Hospice agencies making sure the residents are getting their needs met.

My Aunt is well taken care of by the staff. In addition, the programs and activities they provide seemed to be enjoyed not only by the seniors but in addition, the staff seems to be having fun too. I love the posts on fb they make showing their fun interactions!

My aunt has lived at Serenity Oaks Assisted Living and Memory Care for 5 or 6 years now. I truly believe that the care and love that she receives there has kept her going. The activities they do with their residents helps keep their minds and bodies as sharp as they can under the circumstances. I would highly recommend Serenity Oaks for top notch care of your loved one.

This is the second home our family member has been in. Has been there for a year. We have researched others. Serenity Oaks is by far the best! Staff is excellent, we have seen great improvement in our family member.

Highly recommend this facility. I visit my friend there regularly and see the quality of care she receives. Care, staff, facility, are all top notch. The staff is incredibly caring and friendly. My friend has never had any complaints.

We couldn’t have asked for a better spot! It’s been a long struggle for several years and it’s finally over and we can sleep at night. Everybody is so friendly. The facility is always so clean. The other residents are very well taken care of. Thank you to [name removed] and [name removed] and the entire crew!

My father in law has been at a couple of near by places over the years. The staff and owner at Serenity Oaks provide the best care we have experienced in the past 20 years dealing with him and my own mother in different communities throughout the area. If we had found Serenity Oaks years ago life would have been so much better for both of my parents, not to mention my wife and myself. The staff is always smiling and friendly. They always have answers to our questions and provide us updates when we ask. We can honestly sleep well at night knowing my father in law is well taken care of, which is so nice. I haven't eaten there but dad is now at a healthy weight so that's an indication the food is good. It certainly always smells tasty. The other residents are happy and well taken care of, the place is always clean. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Owner is great and hands on, always available by cell phone if needed. Response is quick. Doors are secure. What more can I say? Give it a go.

The Memory Care unit has had a minor fly problem this week. Still an excellent facility and staff. Serenity Oaks has a female chef who cooks "memory meals" for the residents. She researches each resident 's background and tailors meal themes. She is awesome! Food also awesome. Staff are almost all exceptionally sweet hearted and compassionate people. My wife is pleased with her new quarters as well
