We went with them because the layout of building, it's one story-which we liked better, the staff we were introduced to (but I think they are a bit understaffed, honestly), the location ( easy to get to without having to sit in I35 traffic) and the facility grounds (they aren't surrounded by other buildings-they have some land, landscaping, a nice "outdoor " feel to enjoy. My father-in-law was only there a couple of weeks when he had a severe stroke and he hasn't moved back in. Follow-up with them hasn't been great. Things might be a bit crazy, as the management has changed recently, but we aren't getting the help we expected.
I have lived here 7+ years and have witnessed a couple slumps but overall this is an excellent facility. Food is chef prepared with many choices, served attractively and have been told by several it is the best in the area of care centers. Apartments are nice, fairly spacious (choices of size), and well maintained. Lots of activities, exercise opportunities, Happy Hours, and wonderful, sociable, friendly residents and staff. I am very happy to be here. A well stocked library with ongoing donations.
I've been very pleased with the staff. Their patience with those of us who have all those problems, physical and mental, which is something the family members of the residents should very much appreciate.
