Emerald Cottages is a beautiful, insulated independent living community in New Braunfels, Texas. New Braunfels is a gorgeous area just outside of San Antonio, known for the Comal and Guadalupe rivers, and natural wonders such as the Natural Bridge Caverns. Residents of Emerald Cottages enjoy one-of-a-kind cottage homes that enable them to enjoy active and independent lifestyles.
The community features newly constructed cottages with oversized attached garages, granite countertops, and elegant wood floors. Residents enjoy maintenance-free living without the added expenses of Home Owners Association fees or property taxes. The community is pet-friendly and located conveniently near medical providers.
The neighborhood also has wonderful social opportunities and events for residents to enjoy. Residents are invited to remain as active as they like and socialize at their leisure and comfort levels.

I am really pleased with Emerald Cottsges. The cottages are well designed and have a lot of room. There are activities that you can participate in if you like. The cottage provides lunch once a month but there are opportunities to purchase lunch and eat at the clubhouse with the other residents at least once a week.

Every unit has a full kitchen, so no food/dining available. They do have 1 luncheon provided for all residents if interested. And they do have a potluck dinner occasionally for all to contribute. Many activities to pick from as well. We picked this community, because mom didn't want to live in an apartment type community. These cottages are perfect, all level, has a covered porch, attached garage, nice community to walk in, and has a clubhouse with pool. They are close to the grocery store, medical offices, and family members.

It is really nice apartments. The rooms are large. It's really clean and comfortable. It's very pleasant. Nice surroundings. The people are friendly and they offer several activities, if you're interested. I picked this community because it was the first place that I looked at.

Everybody who works and lives at Emerald Cottages has been awesome, our mother loves is there and we truly love it. Right now the activities are not quite happening only because the community center is not finished. Once that is finished we are hoping the activities pick up. They do not have meals currently since it is independent living but once a month they take the residents out to a restaurant where they can all eat and socialize together. Once the club house is finished they would hold the lunch-ins there. Compared to other cottages in the area the value for the money is good and reasonable and we would recommend the community to others based on the experience we have had so far.

This has been an outstanding community for us. If there are any questions, [name removed] has been there to answer all of our questions. All the utilities, cable, and room for the monthly rate.
