The Pointe has been a wonderful place for my parents! The staff don't turn over often and are very kind and loving with the residents. They truly care and keep us informed of anything going on. [name removed] (front desk) is wonderful. [name removed] (director) also great. [name removed] (PT) is awesome. [name removed] (nurse) wonderful! I love the Pointe!
The place is very clean, and very very beautiful. Everybody here is very nice. Once person after another takes care of each other. The people are very caring and make newcomers feel welcome. It's a great place to live. They have security guards, which makes me feel very safe. We have washers and dryers in our apartments. And they're a very pet friendly community. Every time you come in they give your dog a treat. They love dogs here. One area for improvement is the food needs upgrading. I've had a few really good meals. But in general, they've cut the kitchen budget. So they're not using name brand or quality ingredients. For instance, when you have cold meat, they get the cheapest on the market. It's very salty, and just not any good. They don't use the top stuff in general, and that's the problem. I think the cost is expensive, but overall it's a good value.
They are doing a great job. The only thing is the scheduled cleaning is once a week and I think they may need it a little more often. I have been overall very pleased with Autumn care and with Brenda the administrator, they helped make this as painless as possible. They eat well and enjoy the food. I like that If you have one parent that needs memory care and one that doesn't, they don't have to separate them.

Independent living offers a stress-free lifestyle for older adults. Independent living communities don’t provide personal care or supervision, but do offer generally healthy adults opportunities for socialization and hassle-free living. Independent living services often include:
An Independent Living Community allows residents the ability to live an active life while ensuring their care requirements have been fulfilled. Daily needs such as meal planning and the scheduling of social activities are accounted for, allowing seniors more opportunities to live their lives as they wish. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar ages and interests. Typically consisting of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies vary between locations, numerous residences allow pets as well. If residents decide they would like to enlist the services of private health care providers, they always have the option. There are an assortment of benefits and expenditures to keep in mind when choosing an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these amenities are covered in your plan: housekeeping, internet access, wellness program, laundry, private phone, transportation, parking, and field trips. The benefits that pertain to independent living include community activities, security guards, beauty salon & barber shop, fitness center & swimming pool, game/TV room, healthcare center, transportation, and golf course.
