The activities were N/A because our loved one was in bed 99% in hospice care. The staff was super friendly and caring and exceeded their personal time and our expectations in taking care of my mom's needs. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we had. There's no 'Staff Infection' here! Everyone was professional, fun, and exceeded our expectations for our mom's hospice care!

The people who actually work helping the residents are great, admin is not. They are short on help sometimes running a shift with only 1 person. The memory care director I believe she's only in her 30s I believe too young to be running those to mirror imamemory care facilities Like for instance summer time why can't they have watermelon more often feed the old folk what they've grown up with like meatloaf mashed potatoes gravy and Green Beans. To me you don't feed the older generation ham That is high in salt content and vegetables like broccoli or greens that aren't seasoned. Another thing I don't like about the kitchen there is food is brought in the Actual nurses have to sit there and put it on plates and then they have to do their own dishes there so there is about an hour and a 1/2 every single meal that could have Been cleaning rooms changin pants Tending to the older people instead of doing dishes If food should come like it does on an airplane on a tray you feed it and put the trays back in that cart and send it back To the kitchen

It has been an overall positive experience. It has been a little difficult to determine who is in charge of what. I'm not confident in the nursing response to the emergency alert system. Overall I would give a positive recommendation.

My loved one was previously a resident at Deane Hill Place and the overall experience was great. The cleanliness and friendliness were great. The staff, care services, activities and meals were also great. I would recommend Deane Hill Place to others.

The business office [name removed] never returns calls to her cell phone an emails. Then tells your loved ones they owe thousands of dollars which is incredibly wrong. [name removed] does not communicate never to be found, i am always she at Dean Hill somewhere but nobody knows where.

We took a tour of Deane Hill Place during our search for a Memory Care facility for our loved one. Everyone at this facility was very friendly. The general atmosphere of the facility seemed good. However, when we toured, there seemed to be several maintenance items that needed to be addressed.
This was a terrible experience for us. The behavior by the staff at DHP was very unprofessional. My mom is a higher functioning Dementia Patient... she is still very aware, alert and an intelligent lady! They made fun of her, she was asked to eat in a corner by herself because one of the ladies decided that she didn't like mom sitting with her and the only other 3 ladies in the facility! They allowed one gentleman to control the television in the common area! One of the caretakers pounded on mom's door.....mom was resting in her companion room and was on the phone with me. I heard her yelling at mom for having her door closed and for not joining the others. She didn't realize I was on the phone....she continued....why do you always have to cause us problems, you are the worst patient we have had to deal with, we have meetings about you daily! Mom would wait and wait for help with her shower and would end up doing it herself. One day she was showering and a man another resident walked in on her. There was more..... Additionally, the credit card given to them for first month rent was never processed and was then told they weren't supposed to take credit cards and no one could tell me where the information went.... so that was compromised, I felt, I had to get a new number! Also, paid [name removed] for an activity fee. There was never so much as a crayon provide to color, no activity provided at all in any capacity. On several occasions, mom used the emergency call button at DHP to help her roommate who was almost nonverbal when she had fallen in the floor! After no one came to help or responded to her yells for help she picked her roommate up out of the floor. Then when help finally arrived after about 45 minutes they proceeded to tell mom that she needed to keep her nose out of it! Basically told mom she should have left her there. My mom was an LPN in her career and did what she had known her whole life.....use her pasy training to help another human being! Like I said, it was a terrible experience.

Dean Hill Place is probably the most caring facility I've encountered. They provide personalized care to their residents. When I was there visiting, I saw multiple people coming in to check on my mom every couple of hours. Whereas where she came from before, there were fewer people checking on her less often. If I needed care myself, this is where I would want to place myself.

I hated my experience with Dean Hill Place. They need to improve on, communication, service, an dthe employee retention was bad. The culture was bad. Clean enough facilities.

Deane Hill Place has a home like atmosphere to it which is something we really like. Our loved one never really participated in the activities but from what we saw and how they were presented everything looked great. Based on the experience so far we would recommend them to other families.

Our family had an in person tour and we didn't have the best tour experience, the community was not very clean and the apartments for the residents were dark and gloomy to us so we just new it was not going to be the best fit for our love done.
Especially for the price they were asking, the building was outdated and wasn't clean. The resident rooms were just worn. And the staff wasn’t anywhere near as friendly as the place we chose.
The staff was mostly great to my grandma when she stayed here… there were some not very helpful staff but usually they had good ones. They are so low staffed that usually they only have one caretaker a building. When clearly that is too much and too many people for one person but management doesn’t have to do anything since they leave early and aren’t hands on at all. I feel so bad for the staff… so many are leaving which is leading them to be even more understaffed… the ones that stayed deserve a pay raise or a bonus.. but I’m sure they won’t get that even though we pay thousands for one room and HORRIBLE FOOD. Their food is disgusting.. don’t take your loved ones here.

We picked this community because, it was very close to home and I needed somewhere to get to quickly. The memory care is a very good place. I am happy, that my loved is there. I feel safe which was a main consideration. They do the best that can, to take care of my loved one and other residents.

We picked this community because, of location, and fewer residents in each cottage. The quantity and quality of the food needs to improve. A lot of attention was paid to us up until the time we signed the contract and moved my loved one in. I don't think anyone from the office has visited them since they have moved in. And we never had any kind of orientation to the facility, so my loved one doesn't know what is available. Their CNA showed me around, but I don't think anyone has done the same for my loved one.

The location of Deane Hill Place is excellent for our love done especially because he is still very independent. He can walk outside and walk to the grocery store and the mall that is close by. We really like the layout of the building, the overall structure of it is great. The community is very very clean and the workers are very nice. One of the nurses in particular always spends a little extra time with our loved one due to his state of health. She has been awesome and as accommodating to him as possible. Something we did encounter early on that was frustrating is we were told the community fee would be waved but it was not and we were charged that fee, but after speaking with the management they were able to fix the problem.

My husband and I visited Deane Hill Place on one of several tours scheduled . The staff and team were all very polite and friendly. The facility though just didn't fit with the updates, amenities and options we were looking for our loved one for.

The food is getting worse. Management changed with no notification to residents or families. Our rent is going up several hundred dollars but I'm still buying dad groceries each week bc he can't eat the food. The nurses are GREAT though. The only reason we are still there.

Some of the staff is very helpful. The food does not seem as appetizing-especially for what you are paying. I enjoy the care and people. Overall, it's a good place to place your loved one for assisted living, and it is a good facility.
