Only been at HH for slightly over a year but have found all the nurses and staff to be very friendly and helpful, always willing lend me a helping hand when I need it. I enjoy the many little features that are provided, which are not provided in other living environments. Every week a new menu for all the meals for the ensuing week, an Activities calendar the month with live entertainers at least every 2 weeks, exercise programs almost daily, games and social get togethers, and religious sessions for those who want them. In all, HH is organized to help the residents enjoy their stay. I almost forgot to mention the providing of transportation to medical appointments off campus. This has allowed me to sell my car and save money. The drivers are friendly and our chats have been enjoyable. Needless to say, I like HH and living here. It is now HOME to me.
First, you need to see this facility. They did a major renovation and it looks so different. It has been modernized and looks amazing. My Mom has been at Brandywine for a few years. It is a tough decision to make when your loved one needs more care than what you can give. The apartments are roomy. The food is wonderful. There are so many activities that one will never get bored. My Mom is now on the Reflections-Memory Care Unit. The care and support that she receives is amazing. She is well cared for. The staff is so genuine and supportive to my Mom and family. Administration takes the time to talk with you and answer your questions. It is like an extended family. I am so happy with making the decision to move my Mom to Brandywine.
They did a good job catering to his food preferences, the staff was super friendly and super with him, care was outstanding. We would most definitely recommend this community to other families.

An Independent Living Community provides residents the ability to live an active life while guaranteeing their care requirements are being met. Frequent needs such as the scheduling of social activities and meal planning are taken care of, which permits seniors more free time to live active lives as they see fit. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and backgrounds. Within the individual units, residents have access to their own private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a companion if they prefer. While policies differ between locations, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. Nursing and health care services may always be arranged for with private care providers if desired. There are a number of costs and advantages to consider while determining an independent living community.
