Lovely facility. Public ares, the rooms, everything is clean and well maintained. To paraphrase, it is the place “where everyone knows your name.” From the smiling concierge as you first arrive, to the Nurse and Med Tech, to the aides and kitchen staff, each person knew your name. Just a great atmosphere. I recommend it highly.... Read more

Response from Echo Lake
September 26, 2024Thank you for your review. It’s true — we do greet everyone by name! We love getting to know each of our residents as individuals and learning names is only the first step.
Echo Lake community is absolutely beautiful and very clean. The staff and residents welcomed our mom during her respite stay. We were very pleased with the staff involvement and professionalism. We have chosen to make this my mom‘s new home in the near future and are confident she will adjust well with our support and the support of the staff. Echo Lake also has wonderful activities for residents.

Response from Echo Lake
July 29, 2024We’re very happy to see that you and your mom had such a positive experience with Echo Lake during her respite stay, and we look forward to welcoming her to her new home. Thank you for recognizing our team’s professionalism, our community’s friendliness, and our overall cleanliness. We’re very proud of all three of these things!
Echo Lake is understaffed and we would not recommend assisted living to other families. There are many areas they could work to improve on. However our loved one has since passed so not sure if their staffing has changed for the better

May 6, 2024We appreciate your honest review. To improve the overall resident experience, we’ve made a concerted effort to recruit and retain several top-notch team members at every level and in every department at Echo Lake. We’re very proud of the Echo Lake team and the care and hospitality they provide for residents every day.
The activities offered for the residents are great! Still trying to figure out the personal care and getting into a routine. The meals are great. Mom is still acclimating herself

July 31, 2023Thank you for your feedback. Transitioning into a senior living community is a big step for some and we want to insure that both you and your mom feel at ease. If there is anything additional we can do to help you both acclimate, please do not hesitate to reach out to our nursing team. Best wishes.
It's a great community. They are seriously lacking staff, which is just a sign of the times. And that carries through into the dining experience and the care. But the staff that is there are good. I would just recommend asking about the staff to resident ratio. But everyone is very friendly and helpful. The residents are very nice as well. The facility is very clean. When I go into the elevators and the rooms, I can smell a good clean smell like everything has just been cleaned.

It's a great place to have your loved one go. They really care for your mother or father you have going there. They exceed all expectations. They provide a plethora of activities. The staff does a great job of communicating with us regarding anything with our loved one. They have a doctor that comes weekly and we can make an appointment that is done on site for the residents. Her 1 bedroom apartment is a nice sized. She doesn't have to cook if she doesn't want too. They will deliver the food to her room but she enjoys the food options for a charge. I can't say enough about them. We can sleep at night knowing she is well taken care of.

The staff that I have spoken with are really nice and seems really helpful. My loved one is in memory care and sometimes gets upset about being in a locked area. This is a good community and I would recommend looking into it for you or your loved one. It is hard being away and not being able to see everything and not being able to go with what my mother says. They also have someone in the hair salon twice a week for the residents but it can be hard to get into. They also do not have a lot of variety on the menu for the memory care residents and I wish they could update the menu.

This community was a little more pricey than what I was looking for. Also my loved ones did not want to drive that far to see my other loved one. This was a very informative and good tour at this community.
Echo Lake is a new facility and it is so beautiful. We did not move my mom in here due to the secluded location, but I would tell others to check it out.
We chose Echo Lake because it is new so it is bright and cheery and clean. They also had some incentives going on. They do not have a lot of activities provided in memory care. I gave the care a 3 because they are understaffed, the people that they do have are great, they just need more since they are growing. The food is excellent. I would recommend to others looking.

Response from Echo Lake
September 1, 2021Hi, Gail Thank you for the recommendation! We're glad you are pleased with Echo Lake's dining and our wonderful care staff. We are working diligently to increase our staffing as we grow while facing a nationwide shortage of caregivers. We are aided by the fact that Echo Lake is not only a great place to live, it's a great place to work, too!
I am very happy with the care and the caregivers. There is some turnover with the staff. I would like to see some continuity with the caregivers. We have been very happy with echo lake and am so glad we chose them. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

Response from Echo Lake
September 1, 2021Hello, Patty! We appreciate your recommendation of Echo Lake an are gratified to hear that you have been pleased with the care and your family's choice of Echo Lake. We are working hard to meet the staffing challenges that were exacerbated by Covid in all settings where caregivers are employed.
Echo Lake is a great community. The staff at the community do a great job. I don't feel my loved ones are in danger; however, the community is just short on staff. Some of the activities available are exercise classes, pickleball, game clubs, trips out to different areas in the town, concert broadcasts, and more in the independent living area. The community is nice so my loved ones can be in different areas and be able to visit each other. On the memory care area they provide exercise classes, meal preps, staff assisted the residents engaged with different activities and going to meals. Echo Lake provides the option to live in the memory care area, if you are able and willing to live with your loved one who has memory care needs. They have apartments available for the residents to use if they choose this option. It has a resort or hotel feel in this brand new community. The ceilings are tall and the hallways are wide. This makes it nice for my loved ones.

A Place for Mom has scored Echo Lake 7.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
