This screening includes a number of areas of interest such as monthly nursing assessment of resident as ordered by physician , communities must document such assessment, community must document any substantial changes in a resident’s status which may necessitate relocation to a more specialized community , and medical examination report. Public assistance is available through 1915(b)(c) MLTC program. This community has a number of provisions concerning food and diet which include meals must be adapted to residents preferences, the community must provide therapeutic diets as ordered by the resident’s health care provider for residents who require special diets, meals must be adapted to residents physical abilities , and the community must provide a variety of regular meals that meet the nutritional needs of residents. Staff must receive education in a number of subjects. These include: resident behavior and needs, community emergency procedures, 26 hours of training plus a competency test, and 12 hours of continuing education every 2 years on topics related to assisted living.
