Items 1 thru 4 I rate as 5. The staff loved my dad. Everyone knew him. Meals...3 (which is generous). My dad complained a lot and tried to talk to the staff. Meals were often cold, some people who were sitting at the same table weren't served at the same time. They would run out of food. There were plenty of activities I'd rate it 5. Value 3. They were supposed to provide transportation but had a hard time keeping drivers. There was a lot of staff turn over probably because of the pay. My dad passed away in [date removed]. For quality of care, we have to micro manage the staff to get anything done. We need to find a cheaper/smaller place where she will get better care.

Even though the facility is priced on the middle to lower end compared to other facilities in the area, they are top notch. It's the staff that makes all the difference and they are so caring, nice, friendly, and genuine. My mother loves it there! I do wish they had more variety for dinners.

I was extremely pleased with staff, facilities & all other aspects of the living facilities. My family member is happy in her current living situation. She is active within her environment more than she'd had been when living alone in her own home

Mom has taken her time getting adjusted to the assisted living program, but Brookdale has been very accommodating and helpful with the transition. The facility and staff have been of high quality. Based on the experience we have had so far, we would recommend this community to other families.

. I would give it a 5 if the cost was not as high as it is. It continues to increase which is concerning. It's a beautiful place!

It's definitely a different way of life, took about 3 months to adjust. But once I did it is great. Corporate dictates too much.

My mom's move-in was a little rough. He room had a major leak in it so they moved her into a temporary unit until they could fix it. That took about 3 weeks or so. Everything is clean, but she said there was a slight smell that she's not used to. Not sure what it was but she hasn't complained about it since she first mentioned it. She likes the staff and says everyone is so nice. My mom was struggling with medication dosing before she moved in. Since Brookdale has taken over administering her medication, she is doing so much better. She is enjoying her meals. She is enjoying playing Dominoes and I'm sure other games as well. Great value for the cost. Plus her room has been renovated so that's nice as well

Obviously, the pandemic impacted your entire industry. The constant turnover has been a huge problem. The rate increases every year and the services decline every year. Most of the staff is helpful, but management tends to give “lip service” and that is annoying.

June 26, 2023We take your comments seriously and are sorry to hear you feel this way. We are committed to providing quality care and services to our residents and our management team will be reaching out to further discuss any concerns you may have.
They did not deliver on what they promised. If a resident is independent, it's a good enough place. If a resident requires assistance with daily living activities, they are not staffed for that. Additionally, the staff is paid very poorly, which probably is the reason some people work there had such a poor attitude, and weren't very helpful or kind. The staff members that cared, or few and far between, but they were excellent.

We are happy with the services offered at Brookdale. They recently have gone through a lot of turnover. We are hoping this is a positive thing. Mom was promised an Ambassador and we still haven't received one. This made her transition quite difficult. She has complained the most about the quality of food and the dining experience.

In general, I did not care for the experience of having my significant other in their memorycare facility. The only good thing was that I was able to stay overnight to calm her down. I am glad that her son and I were able to place her in a better facility.

I would recommend you look around at all the communities to find the right fit for you. I would also recommend you read everything thoroughly and understand it all before signing the documents. There are two meals a day, (breakfast and dinner). The breakfast meal is served 7 am to 9 am, and it would be nice if this could be extended until 10 am. The quality of the food is good. The dining service is very slow, as it can take 45-50 minutes to get our food.

My loved one lived here previously (Independent Living) and it just wasn't a great experience. They said they do light housekeeping, but it wasn't ever done. The food was just ok, not great, they did offer some activities. Overall, it didn't work out and we decided to move her elsewhere.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a really nice tour experience, very friendly staff and clean community but it was almost a little to cruise ship like for our loved one
I toured Brookdale Palm Beach Gardens, it was fine and our tour was great. The Admissions Sales representative was wonderful. Because I had been to their St. Augustine location first, I didn't like that the hallways were much narrower at Brookdale Palm Beach. What I liked about St. Augustine is that it had a big, wide open hallway in memory care. I went down a long hallway in Palm Beach with rooms on both sides and it looked too hospital-like. Of course there was a desk for staff in the middle. The activities looked good, and it had a nice outdoor garden area for residents. It was nice and the individual units were nice when they showed me a room. It's just the hospital look when you first walk in, is what turned me off.
When it comes to the meals and dining experience it is poor service and cold food if/when you get it. They are having transportation staffing problems, but they are doing the best they can with that. The staff is accommodating.

This was a great community. The unit they showed us was a little smaller and not available for my loved ones at the time.
They have been having issues like the rest of the country hiring personnel after covid. They try very hard but the dining staff is short. The director works hard at trying to make improvements there. The activities are good. Again staff changes and dealing with after covid issues. Its been challenging. But if mom calls the concierge desk for anything its immediate help. Her apt was redone at a shared cost to upgrade which we were ok with. Its affordable for a one bedroom 1 1/2 bath w full galley kitchen. Most places offer small make shift kitchens with no stove just micro wave and fridge w sink. She has a small walk in closet. We share cost to renovate both bathrooms. When anything needs repairs i contact the director and its taken care of. I would def recommend. They have open meetings once a month to hear what the residents want and discuss everything going on. Its clean and safe. Food is good i just think with the hardships after covid again this will change eventually. If your parent can live in assisted but needs help w meds etc. there are different things you can add on if need me. They will also bring your meals up to your room if your not feeling well. They have a bistro that offers lunch items and ice cream for a small fee. Also a plus if your parent needs extra help they can buy packages. Like mom is getting her laundry done twice a month. They clean her room once a week and will change her sheets out if she leaves the clean ones out. Trash is picked up as well on cleaning day. The wireless internet is being added to all the floors. So far main floor and first floor are done. They are hoping to have the entire building done by oct. They have a gorgeous pool and patio area. A work out room. A small pharmacy is also located on bottom floor. They have trips to most banks, walmart, target, publix etc twice a week. Hairdresser and nail salon open during the week by appt. Special trips are sign up only first come to dine out for meals during the mos. I feel like its a great place. Few issues to work out But all in all mom has a great apt. Also she has a screened in porch where we put two chairs and a table. She loves having that as well

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
