I am a Third party professional that work in Colonial of the Palm Beaches sometimes. The facility is well ran as every staff member are welcoming and compassionate. There are daily activities and holidays are very exciting and inclusive. it is definitely more then employment to Colonial of the Palm Beach staff. The facility is very clean, the staff go the extra miles for residents and visitors. I would not hesitate to place my family member at Colonial Palm Beach.

My brother was only there for a few months and due to his escalating dementia needed to be placed in a memory care unit. Unfortunately, there was no vacancy in that section at Colonial or he would have remained there. Overall, it was a pleasant environment. Major upgrades were being made to enhance the somewhat dated rooms and hallways.

I would not recommend this place to anyone at all. I did not like this facility at all and would not like to see anyone move here.
It was okay. I toured another place before touring here, so that other place ended up as kind of a guideline for me. The people were just so very nice here. But they were undergoing renovations, so things were in disarray a little bit. It wasn’t dirty, it was just being renovated. I realize that lots of older people have hearing issues, but they were playing loud music in the common area, Michael Jackson in fact, which I didn't think my loved one would enjoy.
My mother seems to be doing well there and they seem to be doing well with social distancing guidelines. We are a little concerned when the community opens up and how they are going to protect the residents. My mother is taken care of well and she eats well. They also let us talk every week. Once she was put into memory care, she improved a lot. The community isn't super fancy, but the staff is very good. The care giving staff is good about keeping up with my mother's hygiene. The staff seems better now that we have been there for a bit. They are also very good with making sure she gets her medication. My mother does communicate better now that she is with the memory care team, which means they have been working with her a lot. We looked at the pricing at all the different communities in the area and Savannah Court does seem to be a very good value. We are thankful for Savannah Court right now for taking care of my mother.

DO NOT, I repeat-DO NOT place a Loved one into this facility!! My MOM was there for 2 years in INDEPENDENT living! They lure U in with a low price & almost double it the next year for no valid reason but their corporate greed! The place smells & is disgustingly dirty. The food is uneditable & BUGS would often take a stroll across your dining table. I left her room in VERY clean condition & they were paid up to date when she left for Fountianview. I did not sign for ANY of her debt YET for the last 3.8 years they send ME a bill for $102.00 !!! Think twice & look around!!

May 15, 2020We apologize that you had a less than desirable experience. Please call our executive director at the community. We would love to have the opportunity to improve your experience.
Living here is more than I expected. They help me be independent. It's nice to sit with the ladies at night and play cards.

Facility is undergoing sorely needed renovations. The staff clearly show a loving and caring attitude. The director is a progressive and forward thinking person. She is truly hands on. Would be acceptable if it were located closer to my home.

This was our lowest-rated of the five comparably priced Assisted Living facilities we visited. This may have been the lowest priced by about $[removed], so it may be the budget-friendly choice, and I can't blame anyone who needs to consider it for those reasons, but if you must be in West Palm at this price, there is at least one other option, so be sure to look around. The seafood bisque was amazing, definitely the best food we were served at any facility overall. But that was the most we could say for this facility. There was no public space except the lobby, from what we could see - residents were just sitting (or open-mouth napping, sitting up) in the lobby. For some who wouldn't use recreational areas or movie theater rooms, it could be fine. We were turned off by the condition of the facility more than anything: the wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the resident hallways and my shoes were sticking to the carpet on the second floor. Stains appeared to go unscrubbed in carpets and on walls. There was also a large broken hole in the wall at the doorway of a staged example apartment we were shown. This did not seem like putting your best foot forward, in any way. There did not appear to be outdoor space. The road in front of the facility was fast and noisy. What we needed was a more vibrant community than what we saw. This is likely a solid choice for loved ones who will be transitioning to skilled nursing in the near future. For those who need some assistance but intend to continue to strive to stay young in mind and body as long as they can, there are more vibrant, newer facilities with lots of amenities in the area at an only slightly higher cost.

We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
