The Harmony Collection at Roanoke - Memory Care
5.0

We chose The Harmony Collection because the space that it offered, the activities, the cleanliness, and just the overall feel of it. Everyone seemed like they were on top of their game. She has a bedroom with a shared bathroom, so it is a little on the smaller side but it does work for her needs. The staff are very attentive and helpful and I would recommend them to others looking.

They were always ready to answer any questions I had my mom is currently in her own home, but if the time comes when she has to have assisted living, I would have my mom go to Terra Bella Pheasant Ridge. I honestly think that the staff made my mom feel at home.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home provides residence to at least two seniors who are not related by blood or by marriage to the administrator. A nursing home facility offers its inhabitants 24-hour care by registered nurses. These caregivers provide specialized care for those who cannot take care of their own needs due to mental or physical conditions, including age.

This type of facility is a convenient and comfy living alternative for persons 65 years or older, however nursing homes will usually admit persons 55 and older infrequentlyheard of in senior care regarding alternate care types. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to be free from restraints, get proper medical care, spend time with visitors, and get proper privacy, property, and living arrangements. The most common mental issue experienced by residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can cloud their memory recall, decision making capacities, and and familiarity with their surroundings.
