The outside needs some repair, but there are plans to do so in the works. Cleanliness could be better. Most of the staff are very friendly. There are very few activities for those who are in independent living. The cost compares to other senior/assisted living facilities.

The Park was a great place for my Dad. He loved the 3 delicious meals each day with lots of variation and selections. They have several game rooms with people in them having fun. He enjoyed the worship service on Sundays. He also liked going to the salon upstairs for a haircut His studio was a perfect size for him and they took care of his linens and cleaned weekly. The tour guide is very friendly and helpful as we met her for our initial tours. We checked out several places in person and The Park was the best fit for assisted living for Dad. We met a couple on check in day who had waited several months for an opening. We were blessed that an apartment was available when we needed it.

My loved one is currently a resident at The Park Oak Grove and overall the experience has been okay for her at this facility. However, they were bought out recently and are having trouble keeping staff, for example: a transportation driver. Many of the scheduled activities have been cancelled. The food is the worst part. They have had a turnover of staff in meals and dining and it is not good.

Mom loved everyone who assisted her. The staff always greeted our family as if we were all family. Short of an occasional shortage of staff due to covid/illness, Mom was tended to in a timely manner. Food was also plenty and tasty. I got to eat with her on various occasions. Facility is always clean and doesn't have an "old folks" smell. I told the staff that I would be willing to live there!

Our family had an in person tour with The Park - Oak Grove and it was not what we were looking for. Smaller rooms. Older facility. Mini-split unit in 1 room for heat/air. Report from previous residence of poor heating system. If W/D went out, no plan to replace it. Higher price. Less friendly and stimulating atmosphere. Just didn't get the same feeling we got with [community name removed] .
Mom likes it very much here and has much fun here.

Our families is having a night and day experience with The Park, our loved one came from a community where she received almost no care and The Park is giving her all the attention and care she needs. The food is delicious, the community with the director is nursing is incredible, the sales lady is amazing and the administrator was been so friendly and helpful. The building is a little bit older but they are working on fixing it

My loved one is very happy here. The management makes it stress free. The food is enjoyed by my loved one. There is a menu for the residents to choose from. They also accommodate dietary restrictions. Some of the activities include: local adventures out of the community including dinners.

Our family was able to have an in person tour and our experience was great, it was a really nice community but the value for cost was just way out of our price range, it was pretty expensive.
We chose The Park-Oak Grove because my mom did not want a brand new big facility, this one is a super nice and clean, updated facility. The room sizes here are very spacious. Th staff from top to bottom are easy to work with and communicate well. Overall, it has been a good experience and I would recommend.

We chose this facility in the beginning because we lived close and we visited and I was impressed with what I saw. It was so close that I was able to visit often. The room sizes were spacious by comparison. The food was excellent, they had assigned tables and the residents were able to choose from the menu what they wanted to eat. The activities were available, but no one was actively encouraging them to get up and go. People are more mobile here. Overall, I would recommend.

We chose this The Park-Oak Grove because we thought for my brother that it was the best fit for him. We liked the neighborhood and the price was reasonable. He has the smaller room size, kind of like an efficiency apartment. It is plenty of room for him. I have eaten here a couple of times and thought the food was very good. They prepare the food in the facility and they have a menu that they are able to choose from. My favorite part about the community would be that its off a main road and in a part of town where there is a lot to do. I would recommend this facility.

A Place for Mom has scored The Park Oak Grove 8.8 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
