I think all 7 categories meet the mark, but they should, since this an upscale facility and more costly than others. The staff is terrific. My wife has difficult Lewy body dementia and the facility does well. I'm happy with it.
My sister has lived at Forest Hills in the Health Care Center for a while. Before the pandemic, they had wonderful activities as well as great nursing care. In the pandemic they have done an incredible job to keep everyone safe, to figure out ways to have safe activities and/or virtual or safe visitation zones (following CDC guidelines). The staff is working under challenging circumstances and they continue to be kind, patient and deliver high quality care. We are so very grateful my sister can live in such a great facility.
The community really helped my loved one improve his mobility and he was himself again. The community was clean and neat and the staff was very friendly. I would recommend this community to others.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home facility offers residence to at least two persons who have no personal relation to the administrator. This type of residence offers its occupants 24-hour care administered by on-site nurses. These caregivers offer health related services for those who cannot properly care for themselves due to mental or physical conditions, including age.
Nursing homes are a convenient and comfortable living choice for persons 65 years or older, however nursing homes will often allow access to individuals 55 and above (a rarity in theworldof senior care). The most frequent mental disease experienced by residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can hinder their memory function, decision making capabilities, and and familiarity with their surroundings. Many residents of nursing homes are individuals with behavioral problems, which can include verbal lash-outs, resisting help, or an inclination to wander. A significant portion of nursing home inhabitants are individuals who require assistance with daily tasks such as walking, have a physical or mental disability, have incontinence issues, or experience difficulty with hearing and sight. Nursing homes are required to provide room and bed maintenance services, a professionallly directed program of activities, emergency dental services, and specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability) to residents. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to have your representative notified about your care, to manage your money, get proper privacy, property, and living arrangements, and spend time with visitors.
