Over all they took good care of my wife. I went to see her daily and she was always clean and neat with clean clothes, hair clean and brushed, bed linens clean, etc. They devoted the resources to gave her the care she needed as her ability to do anything on her own slowly went away. I found the head nurse in charge of resident's care to be excellent. Had all the qualities of professional knowledge balanced with caring and compassion. She was my "go to" when I needed to know what was going on. When I went to see my wife, she was usually just sitting doing nothing. Sometimes the staff would have a video playing of some young woman doing exercises that I guess counted for exercise. Without a real person working with them, this did the residents of a memory care unit no good at all. They did have a volunteer on Saturday and Sunday who led some games which was good. But he wasn't an employee and only came a couple times a week. I think they have hired an activity director since my wife was there. I found the administrative office dismal. I went in to ask a question once and it took them 15 minutes to even find my wife's account. Right now I am still waiting for a corrected September invoice so I can submit it to my insurance company. At Harmony you pay a month ahead. So, they need to refund me about 20 days and send me a corrected invoice that reflects what actually happened in September so I can file the final claim with insurance. Still waiting.... Read more

I would tell a friend it is a typical assisted living. The price is better than some in the area. There is language problems with some of the staff. There is frequent staff turnover and sometimes it is difficult to get hold of anyone. They try to take care of residents, but it can be hard taking care of some of the residents for little pay. The floor nurse is overworked, but very responsive and caring. The doctor and the nurse that supports her are near impossible to contact. Very little information from them. The PT and OT techs are caring, but don't have the skills or maybe it's the authority to motivate residents. [name removed] was responsive to PT and OT staff during short stays at nursing homes while temporarily away from Harmony. However, once he returned, they tried to give him PT and OT but couldn't motivate him. Therefore, he lost all the progress he made at the nursing home. Most important is to have an able-bodied advocate on the outside to ensure your family member is heard, needs are met and to monitor things. But this would be true for any assisted living.

Untrained staff, poor communication, want more money but don’t do what’s promised, cold food, Food items on menus not always available, lose Laundry items so best you do it yourself. Recommend staying away from this place.

I have nothing good to say about that place. Did not like anything about it. They are way under-staffed! All of my Mom's clothes were either lost or stolen, despite putting name tags in all of them. Communication with the nurses is horrible.

September 9, 2024We are sorry your experience was not what you expected. We strive to do our best each day and would appreciate an opportunity to learn more about your specific experience. We would be happy to reach out to you, please email us at info@harmonyseniorservices.com.
We would give the overall experience a 3 1/2, and that is due to the turnover of administration. Other than the above & as he says "food needing more seasoning" everything is "ok". However, we would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Short staffed! Not enough staff to care for patients. Some of the staff have attitudes towards patients and some are good.

Its a decent place. I picked this community because they had limited income and this was the best option out of all.

I rate all of the categories positive, with the exception of activities. However, since the arrival of the new Executive Director activities are increasing and new staff has been hired. Harmony at Spring Hill is a nice community, and the location is ideal. The new Executive Director and staff are making great improvements! All we have met and have contact with are friendly and professional.

August 28, 2023Thank you for your positive review! It is a pleasure to serve you and your family. We appreciate you taking the time to provide your feedback and willingness to share your experience.
We toured Harmony at Spring Hill during our search for a facility for my loved one. My loved one didn't really like this facility and also was considering both Assisted Living and Independent Living. They don't have Independent Living at this facility and my loved one didn't like the Assisted Living here.

August 15, 2023Thank you for taking the time to visit Harmony!
We toured Harmony at Spring Hill during our search for Assisted Living for our loved one. The facility and the tour were okay. However, the apartments were more like a hospital than an apartment to us.

My loved one resided at Harmony at Spring Hill from [date removed]. Before selecting Harmony, I read reviews where people loved it and thought it was great. I think it's really important for people to understand there are two different parts - assisted living vs. memory care. I can see how assisted living potentially could be pretty good. But memory care had a lot of serious problems. We as a family had to advocate for our family member who lived there because he was not getting enough care. And the staff were not communicating issues with us. Other families we spoke with were experiencing the same lack of communication. Ultimately, the things that were promised to us were not what we were getting. The facility might look nice, and the food might be good, but the care was not good - and that's what is most important. Because of that, I would not recommend anybody go there for memory care. Our most frequent problem was when our loved one declined help when they asked, they would simply take that at face value. He required supervision and some assistance getting ready for the day and getting ready for bed - taking his hearing aids out to charge them, taking his two partial dentures out to clean them overnight, getting in/out of his clothes, etc. But if he said "I don't need help," they wouldn't do anything for him. They claimed they couldn't force him, but there has to be a way to help a dementia patient who isn't thrilled to be helped or doesn't remember that he needs help. They would just leave him alone to fend for himself. This happened frequently and after addressing it with them, any improvement was intermittent at best. We just couldn't count on them to provide consistent care. And it was RARE that the staff would communicate any incidents like falls to the family. Some of the staff was actually good, and I want to give them credit. But some were just okay, and one was not good at all. Again, it came down to inconsistency.

The food was good. The activities were not engaging. It was not a good experience. They need more staffing, and better trained staff. There were language barriers between the staff, and residents. They lost a lot of staff members during the time, that my loved one was there.

I would recommend you look at this community for your loved ones. They are friendly, the residents are nice, and is a clean community. Overall the food is good. My loved ones seem to enjoy their time here. The community takes care of the laundry. Every so often the community will sometimes lose the laundry, or the laundry will occasionally have spots on it. The housekeeping isn't always done twice a week as promised.

Everything is going well so far with care services. They keep me up to date with what's going on with mom. Mom is in memory care and needs more attention. Sometimes she is unsupervised, so they could use more staff. The staff is really good. The director has been really helpful. Mom really can participate in activities, but they do have bingo. Other places were much more expensive, and this one was all-inclusive. Overall good place but sometimes things get lost or disappear.

We really like how Harmony at Spring Hill is not to small and not to large it really is just that right fit for our loved one. We did have one challenge when we first were moving our loved one in. The paperwork and communication was a little back and forth which caused some confusion so a better onboarding process could make things easier. However we did speak to the director about this and all is well. It seems like our loved one really enjoys the meals and dining service and based on our experience so far we would recommend this community to other families.

The sales representative was extremely helpful. The facility is modern and bright, and it has a lot to offer any person who is considering moving there. The staff all seemed helpful, friendly, and considerate. The food was tasty, keeping in mind that I don't have 70-80 year-old taste buds. It was a really good experience overall.

January 7, 2022Steven, thank you for your review. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with others looking for senior living.
Our family had an in person tour and they have all levels of need with assisted living but our loved one was looking for more of an independent living environment.

October 28, 2021Thank you for your feedback.
Everyone there is very nice and so far it has been a good experience. Our loved ones biggest complaint would have to be about the meals and their portion sizes, they are just a little to small for him. However, the activities are back open for those who wish to participate. The value for cost is pretty steep, but for the market it is probably fair.

I would not recommend this community to anyone. You can't oversee what's going on readily. Not that you should have to. I was on top of knowing all the details of our loved one's care, and we still had a bad experience. There was overall gross mismanagement of prescription medications. Our loved one was given insulin many we provided that were never administered to him at all. We believe our loved one was given someone else's prescribed medicine which landed our loved in the hospital, and they would take no responsibility for it. They were very friendly until this mismanagement, and then they wouldn't say a thing to me afterward. They also put me on undisclosed conference calls when I called afterward. They're not awful people, just very poorly trained. They never once acknowledged what they did and said they were sorry. Initially we were impressed with the value. These were amazing rooms with a nice sized living space and bathroom. The community was allowing visitors in, and not all places are right now. I feel like they robbed me of the great experience we were expecting there. Everything would have been 4-5 star ratings before the medication mismanagement. There was no way we could bring our loved one back here, as he was not safe here. Do not bring your loved one to Harmony.
