This is a gorgeous but mellow place with caring staff members. I had surgery and my needs were complex and the nursing team was able to make me feel safe and their expertise to hospital like procedures kept me worry free. I was discharged home with their outpatient therapy. Their therapy is top notch. The best therapy team you'll find anywhere. The therapy gym is clean. I toured upstairs too before being discharged. I toured a couple of model rooms and they are gorgeous. Some bigger than others but beautiful. Food is provided at the assisted living. It was very impressive to see that the therapy team work with the residents in the assisted living patients too. The breakdown was good and I knew when my wound doctor came and the infectious disease, they had pain management doctor coming in too. Therapy used dry needling to ease my pain. As i said my case was complex, they had a machine in therapy that helped me deal with incontinence. Thank you health care of Plano for a job well done
The Plaza at Edgemere is a great place! Staff is very helpful and friendly. Adam does an amazing job with the food and restaurants. It has everything a person could want. A beauty salon. A ride to church. Great food. Fun activities. Happy hour. And the building, art and gardens are truly beautiful.
They made cook to order meals for my mom. I have experienced other memory care facilities and most have staff that turnover quite often. It is great to see that the staff is so consistent and they truly love the residents they care for.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home is an establishment that provides lodging to two or more persons who are not related by blood or by marriage to the administrator. This type of facility provides its occupants with care administered by registered nurses. These nurses offer health related services for seniors who cannot adequately care for their own needs.
This type of facility is a familiar and comfortable living option for persons 65 years or older, however nursing homes will usually accept persons 55 and above which is unusual for other senior care types.Often times persons might select life in a nursing home due to a mental or physical impairment that prevents them from easily accomplishing their lifestyle goals. The most common mental condition experienced by nursing home residents is dementia, which can hinder their decision making abilities, and familiarity with their surroundings, and memory recall. There are some services that may come at a cost to residents which can include personal clothing, flowers and plants, and personal comfort items. Many residents of nursing homes are persons with behavioral difficulties. These can consist of verbal outbursts, a tendency to wander, or resisting care. Nursing homes are required to provide specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), room and bed maintenance services, nursing and related services, and routine personal hygiene items to residents.
