Types of care available in Lakeway, TX
People are very friendly and caring. They are staffing up a bit which is helping. Any issues we have had is directly related to not having enough people power to handle the demand. Overall, the car has been good. It is clean. The food is good. The activities are plentiful.
Sodalis is an old building, but they do well keeping it up. I have watched the cleaning process when people move out, and have been pleased with the process, as well as the daily cleaning. The staff members who work with the residents are exceptional.
My father joined the Sundara community a week ago. He is very happy there. He told my sister that they they treat him like royalty. It is a loving community where he gets the best care possible. The staff goes out of their way to ensure he has everything he needs to be well cared for both physically and emotionally. Because he is their first diabetic resident, they are having all the med techs trained in how to perform blood sugar testing. I think that says a lot about their desire to provide the best care for each individual resident and their individual needs. Now that I know my father is safe and is being well cared for, I get to go back to enjoying being his daughter, instead of his caregiver. I love my evening visits that we spend laughing and enjoying being with each other. The decision to move him was hard to make, but the right thing to do. Selecting Sundara Senior Living was the best decision I could have ever made for him.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home is an establishment that houses at least two seniors who are not related by blood or by marriage to the administrator. A nursing home facility provides its inhabitants with care administered by registered nurses. These caregivers provide specialized care for those who are unable to take care of their own needs due to mental or physical conditions, including age.
Nursing homes can be a familiar and easy living alternative for persons 65 years or older, however nursing homes will commonly accept individuals 55 and older (a rarity in theworldof senior care).Nursing homes are required to provide room and bed maintenance services, pharmaceutical services, specialized rehabilitative services (treatment for mental illness or intellectual disability), and emergency dental services to residents. Examples of amenities and servicesoffered at nursing homes might include meal programs, room and board, rehabilitation needed due to injury, disability, or illness, and care coordination and case management. The most frequent mental issue experienced by residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can hinder their memory recall, and their sense of familiarity with their surroundings, and decision making abilities. Often times individuals might choose to live in a nursing home due to a physical or mental impairment that prevents them from easily accomplishing their lifestyle goals. There are some services that may come at a cost to residents which can include a private room, unless medically needed, special care services not included in the facility’s Medicaid payment, and personal clothing.
