Our experience with this community was good, overall it is kept pretty clean. The care services are pretty reliable, the activities were however a little bit weaker. The food at this community was very good, and we really liked the responsiveness of the staff and the availability the memory care unit had

Serenity Hill Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Wrentham, MA
5.0 / 5.0

My mom was here for only 7 months in the long term unit. She had some dementia and came from assistant living for 5 years. She never thought of it as a nursing home. She still thought she was in assistant living.. To the family, that is the biggest compliment a nursing home can receive.. I would recommend Serenity Hill to others..thank you for being there for mom, especially during this time. She loved you all..

As I expected; pleasant. Food needs to improve; there are more people with memory problems than I expected. We picked this community because of the location, ambiance, and the fact that rooms are live in place.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is a building that houses two or more seniors who are not related by marriage or by blood to the administrator. This type of community offers its occupants around-the-clock care administered by on-site nurses. These nurses offer care for people who cannot properly care for their needs.

Nursing homes are a convenient and comfortable living choice for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will admit persons 55 and above rarely heard of in senior care regarding alternate care types. A large number of residents are bachelors or widows with smaller social support groups, and almost 50% of nursing home residents are older than 85 years old. Many occupants of nursing homes may have behavioral problems, which can consist of verbal outbursts, a tendency to wander, or resisting assistance. There are some services that may come at a cost to residents which can include flowers and plants, personal reading materials, and personal comfort items. Types of amenities and services offered at nursing homes might include injections, skilled nursing or medical care, rehabilitation needed due to injury, disability, or illness, and room and board.
