I give the Branches all very high marks! 5 all around. I happily refer people there. Excellent care team, which kept my Mom out of the nursing home as long as possible.

We appreciated very much the helpfulness of staff at all levels, and appreciated the quality of care. I marked quality down to 4 because of shortage of staff, but this is a common problem of all places. We were Very happy with our loved one's experience there at The Branches of Marlborough. I highly recommend it.

The cleanliness of the facility was big in our decision. The outdoor grounds were and always are beautifully landscaped and take care of. The layout of the rooms are better than others I have seen. They allowed my stepmother with Alzheimer's live with my father in assisted living for 6 months to ease the trauma of moving. They worked with us where other homes wouldn't. I would definitely recommend.

I'm not very happy with them. They welcomed my loved one with open arms after performing a nursing assessment expressing great confidence they could meet her needs. Within a month they changed their minds and declared they could no longer safely care for her, forcing us to find another facility for my loved one.

The facility is clean and well maintained and the food is quite good. There's a good range of services for a small facility. The staff (both direct care staff and upper level staff) always seem a little harried, although mostly friendly enough. My complaints are first world problems, like laundry getting stuffed in random drawers instead of in the drawers I've carefully labeled. The biggest issue is that mom needs an "escort" (someone to push her wheelchair) so she has to wait for someone to come get her to bring her to activities, meals, etc. (This increases her required level of care so we do pay for this.) Which means she can't share meals with friends or social events easily...often when she arrives everyone is wrapping up. She has mostly given up on trying to make it to the various social programming they offer because she has to call someone to come get her and then wait.

I would say that they do minimal care for those that pay for the highest level of care. They said they could take care of someone with ALS but there was no one there experienced enough to do this. We provided education etc but they didn't connect with my step father in a way that made him feel cared for.

The faculty and staff are amazing. They are very good at communicating with me so I am aware of things going on at my dad's facility. I would absolutely recommend The Branches of Marlboro to anyone who is looking for care for a loved one.

I would absolutely recommend Branches. It's been one of the best decisions our family made for our mom. They've been accommodating in helping my mom go from the main assisted living quarters to the memory care unit.

Branches its great community. Very welcoming and care staff. Residents are friendly and approachable. My father's favorite activity is Happy hour in the lounge. Great opportunity to chat with other residents. His other favorite activity is dinning. My father is very picky with food and not shy if it doesn't meet his expectations. He loves the food.

Overall, I would not recommend The Branches of Marlboro and was disappointed with the experience given the cost of care and assurance this was the best fit for my parents at this stage of their lives

January 10, 2024Hello, We are sorry to hear about your experience at The Branches of Marlboro. Would you mind sending us some additional information at customerservice@benchmarkquality.com so that we can learn more? Thank you.
I'd rather send my loved one to a dump. It was dirty, no air conditioning (in August). The staff was horrible and they were NOT honest.Worst experience I've ever had. They need to improve on everything, the place was awful.

I recently was given a tour by the Executive Director on a Tuesday. The place felt cold no activities was going on some residents was complaining , and the care staff and nurses seems stressed and overworked. We didn’t get a warm vibe from this place. We were being rushed by this Executive Director and felt she was pushing us. One of our friends suggested this place as his mom lives there also he said there was a lot of turnover with staffing due to management difficulty in retaining their staff. Our tour was not pleasant and maybe some advice to your new Executive Director (smile more) we are guess visiting. I was told that the former Executive Director was a people person. Well we have decided to move our mom somewhere else as we didn’t feel as welcome by your Executive Director ?? and do not look forward to giving a good review.

My brother died 9 days after entering, so our experience was very limited. While preparing for my brother's transition, the staff was extremely accommodating. The facility was very clean, food good, and the personal care--bathing, shaving, etc-- was rendered in a caring way. The monthly fee was very high because he required so many services, and we didn't have enough time to assess if he was actually getting the level of care we paid for. [name removed] was very debilitated so I do not know he if participated in any activities. There was some accommodation to assisting me (the resident's older sister, who lives out-of-state) in emptying his room--but not nearly the same attention as in getting him in! Based on my mother's experience in care 16 years ago and this, I would rate it 4--but I hope never to need such care myself.

The Branches of Marlboro is a great place, and the staff members there are wonderful. They take them out in their van, they get ice cream or donuts. Go to look at places, just get out!! They have daily indoor activities like artwork, art projects, singing and dancing, exercises. They really make an effort to get everyone involved on a daily basis, no one is just laying in their bed all day.

We picked this community, because the age of patients was on the younger side. I love the facility, staff and care by everyone. They have small dining room tables of 2-4. Aides helping were needed. My family is happy with the place.

A Place for Mom has scored The Branches of Marlboro 9.2 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
