I was happy to see such happy and friendly folks throughout our experience at Concord. Literally our first visit and we were approached by numerous residents offering friendly tips and warm greetings. Staff and Management are friendly, competent and helpful in every way. It’s a lively and vibrant atmosphere. The piano playing in the great room is so fabulous. The living rooms on the mezzanine with beautiful fireplace and decor are delightful. Communication, and open communication with everyone. Always get everything documented and copied. Pleasant staff members. Make sure there's always follow-ups and checking on every person that lives there no matter if they pay for it or not. Wellness check is very important.

It's a very clean nice facility. If there was any issue it was more about my cousin. Concord Place really is a great facility.

For Concord Place: Concord Place was an important transitional step for my auntie between a high-end, private pay, supportive living senior community and a Medicaid skilled nursing facility. At Concord Place you can start with private pay, and then your relative can spend down their assets until they become Medicaid eligible. At which point the staff will actually help you apply for Medicaid. You would have to move to the Medicaid floors that are specifically funded that way, but it's nice to have that built-in transitional support. Please note that if your relative needs to consistently have a two person assist at to stand or to walk then they will not be permitted to stay there. The administrative staff and the caregiving staff with ALC Onsite could not be kinder or more supportive. [name removed]does not play and is a staunch advocate for your relative as well as maintaining a accountability with her staff and encouraging growth conversations when they need to happen. They are very transparent, very communicative, and super solid on the administrative end of things. Because the sheer size of the place, the care level of people at Concord Place being more independent, and the cost being more affordable, they do rely a little bit more on self reporting or residence advocating for facility improvements. It used to be a hotel so there is a long haul on each floor with a bunch of rooms. It just so happened that on my auntie's floor, the third floor, somebody was smoking cigarettes even though it's absolutely banned. I think if they could figure out who it was the staff there would squash it because some people have oxygen so indoor smoking is dangerous and it's also their policy to not smoke indoors. However, because there are so many rooms it's hard to identify who the culprit is. Sometimes the elevator can get pretty ripe as well because there's a long wait time and so many floors, sometimes accidents happen and it can take a few days for that accident to get cleaned up. The big Takeaway with Concord Place is that if your loved one is active enough and independent enough to take advantage of their great facility, including a fitness center and an actual pool, an of movie theater on site, this place would be amazing. If they need a higher level of care, I would recommend going straight to a facility that has skilled nursing available.

I was very impressed with they're willingness to help out in any way to make the facility available to my cousin. Her accounts were frozen and they were still willing to help. Also because they provide so many different levels of service the cost is reasonable compared to other places. Since my cousin has special needs, I was concerned about whether they would be willing to go the extra to provide services needed and so far that has happened.

Some changes in the contract, but it has been a good solid experience. They are revamping some of the floors. People are so nice. Staff turnover is low. There are many options on the menu. Concord seems to have everything my brother needs including healthcare on-site. He feels that it was a good choice. We have the comfort of knowing that he is safe and care for while he feels that he is able to be independent.

An improvement would be to classify if there are smokers on a floor. Some neighbors are smokers and the floor always smelled of nicotine smoke. It is an issue for my father

I find the food environment poor meals Hot menus served cold undercooked, cold food served at room temperature Ice cream melted, Limited portion meals, no meats served with eggs Alot of residents need extended care not assisted living. Residents smoke in prohibit area Rooms, too many motors carts driven at high-speed. roaches in rooms, resident poor self-hygiene resident not assisted, there total care which means they can't take care of themself

Areas that they could improve on - know the place for monitoring meds. Different info from different people. Lot of confusion with staff. Write down who told you what, when.

This retirement community is really a fantastic value for the money. The staff seems to be caring and down to earth; the facilities are in decent repair and very generous for the price that is being paid. My one complaint is that they need to have more serving staff available in the dining room; often it takes around 45 minutes just to get the order taken, and then The food arrives cold. But when it does get there, the food is excellent. Everything tastes very good. I would definitely recommend this to people who need a lower cost facility. Overall it is very good.

My loved one was previously a resident at Concord Place and the overall experience was good. The facility is being updated, which is great. Concord Place is a good fit if you are independent and need some help. The staff was pleasant.

The staff in the dining room are horrible. Most of them don't speak English so most of the time what you order to eat is wrong I have arthritis real bad so I don't partake that much in activities. [name removed] and [name removed] are wonderful and Concord is lucky to have them working here. Management here changed about a year ago. The new Director, poor thing, all she gets are complaints. It's not her it's the people. They don't like change. I just turned 70 and no that changes are needed at times. I think [name removed] is doing a great job. She has a very tough job. I think she should be recognized for what she has done.

The parties and events they plan for the guest are really great. Food music and alcohol provided. As far as the food goes, they need to switch from all the seed oils they cook with to just tallow or plain animal fats. Have More of a varied menu. Same meals get repeated all the time. Food gets boring and mundane

The entire staff is very friendly. They can't do many activities with the staff they have now. It's as good as it's going to get, I believe. I must say there needs to be access to a dietician or nutritionist... Who serves donuts for breakfast?

I am still very ambulatory so far. They keep the place pretty clean and tidy. The food has been good and they provide 3 meals a day, and clean and vacuum the room weekly. Only drawback is no additional storage. You have to go off-site. Plenty closet space for one person but with 2 people it will be tight. There is a movie theater but they show a lot of Old and older movies. Current movies you have to leave the facility. Overall this is a good place.

I have had issues with some communication and follow-up with Concord. Disappointed with that. Facility like driver of community bus, receptionist, cafeteria staff, church pastors, are great. I would still recommend them based off of the overall facility itself and price factor.

A Place for Mom has scored Concord Place 9.1 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
