I liked that it's a non profit catholic or Christian organization. The price is very reasonable for what you receive. I loved the location its centrally located and 5 minutes from my son lol. Everything I need is here and get to go many places with the group by bus even to the store. Now that I'm here I wish I could have been here years ago. If a friend would ask me I'd tell them run don't walk come see [name removed] and get an apartment here. Absolutely love it !!!!

The experience has been pretty positive overall. Some confusion with how the phone works, for example is long distance included. We received some conflicting information. It's all cleared up. Staff has been extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming. My mom is so happy and is Independent! She always has something to do outside of her apartment, even if it's just taking a walk. It's so great to see her happy and active!

If a friend asked me about Bethlehem Woods, I would say it is the best place for retired people. It offers a lovely community with welcoming residents. There are tons of activities, great food, religious activities, field trips and very warm welcoming people. I also like that there's many medical resources on site. There is a doctor that comes in weekly, physical therapy, and a nursing office on site. It's ala cart for a lot of these services. They are also redoing all of the apartments within the complex. I just feel like there's a lot of people watching out for my mom there. We just love it!

Our family had an in person tour with Ascension Living and it is an older facility, but was much tidier and sunnier than [community name removed]. IT was in the running, but a little pricier than [community name removed] which was important. Ultimately, [community name removed] won because it is new, sunny, very spacious and very upbeat.
They have completely renovated our loved ones apartment so it is brand new and is quite nice. All of the staff members and the residents are very friendly and the home health care has really worked out great. The meals and dining service always looks very good, and she is enjoying the activities especially the bingo. We would absolutely recommend Ascension Living to other families, it has been a really good experience.

I recently toured Bethlehem woods for my loved one. Our tour guide was very informative. We were able to chat with residents and they had great things to say. We had a great experience. Community looks very cozy. The apartments are spacious and they offer various sizes.

The food is dreadful and deplorable. The biggest problem is the food. The meat is overcooked or undercooked, and the veggies are overcooked. My loved one has not partcipated in any activities. There is a handful of people who are helpful. The residents are nice. There was no hot water for a few days. They are understaffed, and on their third Executive Director. They have a lot of features in the building, that are pleasant.

We pciked this community because it was recommended. After a frustrating first 6 six weeks with slow progress and resolution we moved my lovedone out. They were working on improvements when my loved one moved out. As I said initially, they were really in a state of flux with old staff leaving or having been let go and many of her new resident needs not having been met. Hopefully they've worked that all out, but my loved one wasn't willing to wait and find out if it would improve.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a really good experience but the community was way to big and overwhelming.
Our family had an in person tour and we believe they were recently purchased so they were going to be putting a lot of money into upgrading. They did have a lot of things that we needed but the community is very spread out, the distance walking to and from things inside the community and the distance is just to far.
Our sister really seemed to enjoy all the activities they offered and the room itself really stood out to us, it was just very cozy and had everything she would need in it.

From what my parents tell me, it's great. They like the dinners. They've met nice people. They love the church services. And they seem to be very happy there.
This community was just too far from where we live. I loved the community, it was fantastic and clean and the value was great it was just too far away.
My Dad is in Independent Living. They are very easy to work with they treat the residents with respect as independent adults. They have a lot of services and amenities. The food is good. They have done a good job keeping people safe during Covid-19. They are doing a good job keeping families informed.

A Place for Mom has scored Ascension Living Bethlehem Woods Village 8.9 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
