Friendliness of the staff is a 10, totally friendly, have to give them aces on that question! What I will say is that the food isn't good, they have a hard time getting employees. The activities are not well attended and they can't seem to keep an activities director. So it's kind of boring if you don't have a busy outside life. I'm not sure if other places are better or whether they are all having these issues these days.

Office staff is fab. Cooks seem 2b hard to find/ keep. Housekeeping should be better trained. Overall tho, it is probably better than most of this type of retirement living. I am making new friends, enjoying all the amenities, a fine place to spend an easy retirement, relaxing.

June 28, 2024Hi Jon, we’re thrilled to get this kind of feedback. Thank you for taking the time to review us. Have a great day!
I feel they care and listen to your needs..my mom started in independence but had to go to memory care and they are so good to her. They really care. . Independent apartments- they are great size and a few to choose from. Memory care is small but they have there own bathroom. But they try to keep them out of room to do things...

June 11, 2024Hi Kim, we appreciate your kind words and the time you took out of your day to review us. We hope you have an amazing day!
Burr Ridge feels like an apartment or condominium complex rather than a “facility”. That was very important for our mom as she moved from the house she & my dad built over 58 years ago! Everyone we’ve encountered at Burr Ridge has been extremely nice & helpful. Mom is enjoying the food & activities. She even had a group of friends that she sits with at nightly meals. The only complaint mom has had is that the dining room seti e is short staffed so it takes quite a while after ordering the meal to receive it. But considering it’s such a huge lifestyle change, if this is the only concern then we are very pleased!

May 3, 2024Hi Karyl, Thank you for taking the time out of your day to review Burr Ridge Senior Living. We are thrilled to hear about your positive experience with our staff. We hope you have a great day!
When it was time for our folks to move from Independent Living to Assisted Living, we found the fit was not good at their current facility. Burr Ridge helped to outline the options for both assisted living, as well as the Memory Care options we may need to tap into going forward. We appreciated the transparency in both the base costs and costs at additional care levels. The move to Burr Ridge Senior Living was completed successfully in a matter of weeks. We have been happy with how friendly the staff has been and responsive to working with our folks to help them feel at home and answer any questions and implement desired changes. Quite a bit is included in the base cost that was not at the other facility related to maintaining and improving their health. In the month that they've been there, our folks are both healthier and happier, with a care plan to keep them on this path, regardless of the health issues that may be coming in the future. It is a very vibrant community!

April 30, 2024Hi Dee, that’s wonderful to hear. Thanks so much for leaving us a review. Have a wonderful day!
Walking into the facility, provides a great, friendly, clean vibe. That vibe holds true even four months in. However, as every facility is experiencing right now, the facility is shortstaffed. Therefore, schedule days for laundry, housecleaning, or bathing (if this level of care is being paid for) can often be altered without the resident being aware. My recommendation would be for facility to communicate better when changes are happening to avoid waiting all day. There is a laundry unit in the apartment, but if you are relying on the facility (great perk!) to do your laundry, especially your bedding, it should be a priority for the facility to make sure they have incorporated it into the new schedule as this is part of the program. Once you bring your concerns to the attention of the associated staff member, they are very accommodating to make sure they communicate things moving forward and are also willing to meet with you and listen, which is a great. Compared to other facilities that we have visited or read reviews on, this feedback is not nearly something to worry about especially when there are additional perks like a significant amount of activities, friendly residents and staff. I will say, though, the dining hours are quite early. Waking up significantly early to have breakfast and having dinner significantly early as well, is a hard adjustment when you're used to sleeping in a bit or relaxing in the morning, and wanting to eat a little bit later in the evening. However, having a kitchenette and your room does help. It's also wonderful a nurse is available to the residence as well.

February 2, 2024Hi Cindy, we’re thrilled to get this kind of feedback. Thank you for taking the time to review us. Have a great day!
After extensive research into senior living facilities offering many levels of care, we chose Burr Ridge Senior Living for our mom. They have met all and even more than our needs. They are caring, welcoming and make the residents and their families feel like they are family. There is no other place we’d trust with the care for our mom.

January 10, 2024Hello Jen, We appreciate your positive feedback about your experience at Burr Ridge Senior Living. We take pride in serving our residents and their families, and if you have any further questions, please let us know.
We had such high hopes for this facility. Up front, it looks very nice and pleasant and the sales force makes you feel like you're the most important resident, but the behind the scenes care, food service and overall efficiency of this facility is a 1/5, at best. The food service is horrendous, serving luke warm food and at times still frozen food to patients whom are room or bed bound. Meals are often forgotten or 3-4 hours late, or, the wrong meals are delivered and nothing is done about it. When mentioned to the front desk, you will get an apology, but that's as far as it goes...the terrible service and poor quality continues. The actual quality of the food served is 1980's college cafeteria grade. Cardboard has more flavor. Assisted living residents are paying for laundry service and cleaning, yet in the 6 months my mother has been there, her room has been cleaned 3-4 times. The therapy care is very good 4/5. Nursing 3/5. Once you sign the contract, they do not care about you.

December 20, 2023Hi Tom, that’s wonderful to hear. Thanks so much for leaving us a review. Have a wonderful day!
Overall, the staff is great, helpful and caring. They've kept me informed of any issues. I was a little disappointed in the slowness to get my loved one involved. The place is extremely clean! There's so much to do for residents! I do wish they would make more than one trip a month to Walmart and Target! The only real disappointment or concern was their lack of making an adjustment to monthly charges for meals when my loved one was hospitalized for over 6 weeks. It wasn't her own doing like a trip or vacation, but health related.

December 7, 2023Hi Walt, we are happy to hear about your good experience. We appreciate the positive feedback. We hope you have a great day!
I am currently a resident at Burr Ridge Senior Living and most everything has been great for me so far at this facility. The facility is very clean. The staff is very friendly. I feel comfortable and safe here. I am pleased with everything except for the food, which needs some improvement. I am aware that 100% is not always easy anywhere, however Burr Ridge Senior Living is among the top percentage.

September 30, 2023Hi Customer, we’re thrilled to get this kind of feedback. Thank you for taking the time to review us. Have a great day!
The staff at Burr Ridge Senior Living is excellent. They want to work here and are not just here because it's the only job that they could find. They know every resident's name and interact with them when they see them. The move in was a little difficult because you have to use the front door and my unit was as far from the front door as can be. But they were very helpful solving minor issues on move in day. The food is good and I like my meal plan because I get any two meals per day. It's very flexible. I would recommend Burr Ridge Senior Living to others and am trying to get a couple of friends here.

September 30, 2023Hi Candi, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with a review of your experience at Burr Ridge Senior Living. We are pleased to hear that our team went above and beyond and made your experience pleasant. If you have any questions, please reach out.
They seem to overall care but don't seem to get to involve The food is very good but the wait time is not good at all. My sister goes down for dinner at 4:30 and waits for her food sometime till 5:30 even 6 I have complained about that a few times they just tell me they're short-handed they need to do something about that they have gotten a little better for lunch sometimes dinner. My mom just can't wait that long. So we have Sabrina my sister bring my mom dinner to her but then they charge us to have that done. My mom would go down more if they were a little more quicker on delivering the food to the table. I feel they need to have more activities in house. They had the residents do the Bingo Left Right Center for 4th of July they didn't have anything didn't even decorate. I hope that changes with the holidays coming up. They have one movie a week and it's usually like it too they should have more options. If they have a coordinator I've never met her I've asked about a happy hour on Fridays they have like a social with alcohol on Fridays at 3:00 was told they also can has soft drinks as well. But once again it's not an organized thing. I feel for the money they should have more activities maybe bring in people to play music get people more involved they don't seem to have a coordinator doing these things it seems like it's just the residents. Overall it is a nice place the people that work like the front desk and stuff they're very nice and accommodating but the people you talk to before you move in make it sound better than it is and you don't hear from them anymore. They have a bistro room pretty never have anything in there so some water and coffee and a TV. I was told that they are working on doing something about that room. Once again I do feel that my loved one is safe there and that I like... The Apartments are very nice and up-to-date the hallways are very nice and places to sit the people that work there are very nice. The food is good just need it to be a little more faster maybe they could put water on the tables with glasses and they can pour their own while they're waiting they would have something to drink and maybe a few more activities for the holidays to come.

March 10, 2023Hello Tish, We appreciate your positive feedback about your experience at Burr Ridge Senior Living. We take pride in serving our residents and their families, and if you have any further questions, please let us know.
Our family had an in person tour and with everything we saw on the tour and all the different staff we were able to encounter made it a very nice experience, but the community itself was just a little to big and we felt a smaller community would of been a better fit.

March 2, 2023Hi mike, Thank you for taking the time out of your day to review Burr Ridge Senior Living. We are thrilled to hear about your positive experience with our staff. We hope you have a great day!
We opted against it because it was older and not as good a location for my mom and clearly lacked help. The food pick up and take back to room was a deal breaker. Liked the facility and the people a lot. The set up was not as nice as other places.
