With its signature ocean swells, miles of public beaches, and the International Surfing Museum, Huntington Beach rightfully secured “Surf City, USA” as its official nickname in 2006. This coastal Orange County town is relatively serene compared to the sprawling metropolis of Los Angeles to the north and is home to several popular throwbacks that transport visitors to bygone eras.

The heart of Huntington Beach is undoubtedly the area around the intersection of Main Street and the Pacific Coast Highway, where downtown meets the sandy shoreline that gives the city its name. Here you’ll find plenty of tropical restaurants, seaside bars, surf shops, a weekly farmers market, ocean-view hotels and apartments, plus the Huntington Beach Bike Trail which runs along the coast for miles in either direction.
