Memory Care
We were there for a very short period of time less than 2 months. the majority of this time mom had been placed in hospice care with Compassus. The things we liked most was we were told there would be a nurse on duty 24 hrs a day in moms unit. There were only 10 residents in moms unit. The layout of the facility. It was very open, the living area and dining room was located in the center and all of the residents rooms surrounded the dining and living room. there were no long halls.
There was housekeeping service and my mom's apartment was always maintained along with the common areas. The staff were attentive to mom's needs and treated her with respect. The activities were fun and engaging, even if mom forgot that she did them.
Our dear mother bought in/ moved into the Village 5+ years ago, and has enjoyed it very much. The staff, service, friends, activities, and food, etc. have been excellent and we've had no problems. She is now >90, and had a fall recently- and though she fractured her a bone, she was able to go the Village rehab for 6 weeks and just moved into a Village assisted living apartment, which is a 1 bedroom -just as nice as the 2 bedroom unit she had in independent living. The Village is also a great place to visit, which my sister does almost every day. I've stayed overnight there many times as well. We give the Village high ratings.
