Royal Retreat Assisted Living

I like that they make my father feel very comfortable. He's a very sociable, active 87 year old. They make sure he's entertained, they make sure he is ready for all outside appointments and engagement. They call if there's any issues or concerns.

Our families experience

The space was generous & usefully designed. Employees were generally friendly but my brother's lack of tact offended some. I wonder if they had been trained to deal with mental issues. Shopping trips (grocery clothing etc)accessibility was limited. I think the food was acceptable and the facility was clean. The staff was friendly when he arrived but he perceived their disapproval after several months. He left there &moved in with relatives.

Very nice community of staff and residents. My father is very happy and is thriving.It was the right fit for my father's needs. I would recommend to others.

I would say it has been a positive experience. We picked this community, because of the fffordability and amenities. Right price with right services. Staff are very pleasant.

My friend had a short stay at Royal Retreat. But in that short time that she was there, the staff did what was necessary to assist her and meet her needs.

My loved one is in the independent living building. There is no transportation availability, which would greatly enhance independence, but my loved one does have several friends in the facility. He based a great deal of his decision to reside there upon them. They have friendly staff & residents, and the facility offers ground level apartments with inside hall as well as outside exits. They are also dog friendly & allow small flower gardens.

I visit my father often (4 times a week). I get to know all the staff, call them by name, have fun with them and try to know all the residents by name also. The strong family involvement goes a long way in having a positive experience anywhere. The staff at Royal Retreat are great about wrapping their arms around you and seeing you as part of the team. There is a real effort in making Royal Retreat a great place for seniors.

After residing at another assisted living facility in Memphis, we recently moved my elderly mother into Royal Retreat and could not be more pleased! The facility is modern, clean, and updated, with professional and empathetic staff members which has provided us peace of mind and and most importantly, contentment for my mother. My mothers room is spacious with plenty of natural light and quality amenities. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone looking for quality assisted living for their loved ones.

Food service sucks, the manager always hiring young people and family.

They were working on remodeling at this community when we visited. The staff, however seemed ugly towards some of the residents. They were supposed to be delivering breakfast to the residents during the remodel and they were not very nice about having to do this. I was not impressed with the staff.

My friend is doing very well since his move into the Legacy Estates he seems to really like it. The time that I have gone to visit him the place looks great and very clean and they have housekeeping there for him. The staff has been amazing and very helpful with all his needs and getting him settled in the community. This is a great community that I would recommend.
