We were there for two years. There were some of the original staff that were wonderful. We had a few that did not need to work with elderly people. It got better but they had a major staff turnover and the new director didn't even try to reach out to us about any of our concerns. And when momma died on[date removed] we had to pay for the whole month which we used to get her room cleaned out. By the [name removed] they went in there and started painting around momma's furniture which infuriated us but there was nothing we could do. They had the room rented [date removed] We just felt like they think of the numbers and not the people. I hope for the people that are in there now and thinking about going there that things will be better for them and their families. I'm sorry I laid this on you I guess we just haven't had anybody that cared enough to listen.

The Goldton has been a great experience. They made the move easy & fun for my mom. The staff is welcoming & kind. Management is very helpful anytime we have questions or concerns. It’s very clean & fun around holidays. They have daily housekeeping & biweekly laundry my mom appreciates.

I don't know that they had a doctor that spent enough time there. I did hear they were getting a new doctor which would be good. I would tell others to maybe not to expect the staff to take care of personal hygiene for your loved ones. I thought mine would be on a care schedule each week as I was told but I had to do all of that when I visited, cut toenails, fingernails and get him to shower. Whenever I asked why they didn't, they said he never asked to. I think they only asked him to shower once in almost 6 months. We loved 2 of the nurses. I feel like they really cared. If someone needs extra assistance, they should ask to be on first or second level. Third level is far away and should be for more independent living, not the higher care levels.
They were excellent caregivers for my father and would highly recommend them.

The staff at the Goldton was amazing! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience while my grandmother was there. My grandmother went to assisted living on hospice care. We were only there for about a week before she passed away but I couldn’t have asked for a better place. Every single person I interacted with was so kind and compassionate. The staff truly goes above and beyond for the residents.

My experience was reasonable and I like the friendly staff. They are short handed, so there are problems getting laundry done weekly. Problems reported on move in day about 6 weeks ago have not yet been repaired. The staff is attentive to residents needs, again, I believe they could do more with appropriate staffing.

My experience with Goldton was horrible. Lying staff. Lack of care. My son was there for respite care from a stroke. They were to lower the height of the bed because of risk of fall. Was not lowered resulting in a fall the first night. No call from nurse on duty. The facility is clean and food was good but caregivers were not adequate .

If the resident will be mostly independent or willing to speak up for themselves they can manage there successfully. If the resident is more in need of attention or quiet, I would say this is not the place for them. My biggest complaint is the head people which of course trickles down through everything. I really would not recommend this place for someone whose family will not be present and stop in. I feel sorry for residents who don't have family advocating for them.

We did a respite with The Goldton and they did not have a minimum amount of time to stay which was nice, we just paid by the day. You just have to get a physical before you go.The staff was super friendly. It was clean. My loved one did not do activities, they had a lot offered though. The food delivery to the room was a little cold. We plan to use them again going forward. They were really good.

I scheduled a tour for this community, when I arrived I was told there was no one available to give me a tour, that the guide was out sick. I rescheduled and when I arrived for the second one, no tour. I was told no one was available to give the tour. The lobby was empty and I had to wait for someone to come to the reception area both times. Not a good start so I didn't return.
For the most part the people in charge are excellent. The only problem is they have some employees that don't seem to care. They try to communicate as best as possible when have an issue. Anywhere dealing with people you need to have a team that cares. Most do but have had issues with them forgetting she is there, with her getting out and other instances. We went almost three weeks without any incidents, then on the overnight shift and on weekend crew is where we have had most of the issues. We have a family member there each morning and evening to make sure she is taken care of. We would like to not have to continue doing this as is what we are paying for, but until feel is under control will continue doing so.

I recently tours a few weeks ago and I am shocked at some the comments about the facility. The building is beautiful and I didn't see any weeds, nor cigarette butts. They tell me that they are about to remodel too but I feel its great and clean the way it is. I came during meal time and the food smelled amazing. Residents were in the dining room seemed to be enjoying their selves. The rooms were larger than I expected and the models were decorated real nice. It really gives us a realistic idea of ho big of furniture will fit when our family moves in. And we are all to aware of our nations staffing shortages, we can only pray it gets better soon.

This facility looked like a scary movie. It was not clean at all and definitely needed updates. I did like the suite that they showed me, it was updated and residents have their own room but share a living space. It is a cheaper facility and it is small. The residents that we saw could not even communicate and my loved one is more with it. The outdoor area was so dirty, the patio had cigarette butts all over it from the staff smoking and there were weeds all over.
