I think all 7 categories meet the mark, but they should, since this an upscale facility and more costly than others. The staff is terrific. My wife has difficult Lewy body dementia and the facility does well. I'm happy with it.
My sister has lived at Forest Hills in the Health Care Center for a while. Before the pandemic, they had wonderful activities as well as great nursing care. In the pandemic they have done an incredible job to keep everyone safe, to figure out ways to have safe activities and/or virtual or safe visitation zones (following CDC guidelines). The staff is working under challenging circumstances and they continue to be kind, patient and deliver high quality care. We are so very grateful my sister can live in such a great facility.
I would and do highly recommend Harper's Station. Dad was very happy there. His and my only issue was phone service. It was constantly going down for hours to days at a time. Dad was one of the first residents there so it may have been resolved by now.

Nursing homes, also called skilled nursing facilities, provide long-term care for seniors with significant physical or mental health conditions, and short-term care to people recovering from an injury or hospital stay. Nursing homes provide personal assistance and medical care from licensed professionals. Services in skilled nursing facilities often include:
A nursing home is an establishment that houses two or more seniors who have no personal relation to the administrator. A nursing home facility provides its occupants with around-the-clock care by on-site nurses. These nurses provide healthcare services for those who cannot adequately take care of themselves.
This type of facility is a convenient and comfortable care alternative for individuals 65 years or older, however nursing homes will take in individuals 55 and above rarely heard of in senior care regarding care types.A large number of inhabitants are single women with circles of support, and almost half of nursing home residents are over 85 years old. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to get information on services and fees, form or participate in resident groups, get proper privacy, property, and living arrangements, and to manage your money. There are some services that may come at a cost to residents which can include cosmetic and grooming items, a private room, unless medically needed, and special care services not included in the facility’s Medicaid payment. Examples of amenities and servicesprovided at nursing homes might include adult day health care (which offers nursing and therapy) , room and board, senior centers, and 24-hour emergency care. The most frequent mental condition effecting residents of nursing homes is dementia, which can hinder their and their sense of familiarity, memory recall, and decision making capacities.
