Of the several homes I've had family in this seems to be least hospitable. In my experience staff are the least courteous or helpful to those who reside here or their families. Frankly they seem to encourage turnover in their residents expediting this process through neglect and dispassionate regard for their duties. We've moved my family members from one room to another hoping for a better outcome. My family members while elderly had very keen minds and were physically fit even traveling stairs regularly before coming to Chesterbrook. In less that a year all of there faculties and abilities have significantly diminished. In every aspect of their lives they are worse off. I quote my family residing there when I say, "This [Chesterbrook] is place people come to die." Do not let your loved one suffer this place.

There is not one odor, the place is immaculate. The staff is extremely friendly. They are very careful. I would give this place a five-star, up and down the scale. I have never had a bad experience. I would highly recommend it.

My mother moved in recently. The only apartment we were initially told was available, was very tiny. Then the largest one bedroom became available before she moved, and she was able to get that, at the same price as the smaller unit. When touring, everyone we met told us how much they loved living there. All staff is very friendly and accommodating. Food is great (one thing my mother was looking forward to). When I try to call her, she is often out at some activity. She is now exercising, going to game nights, is in the book club, going to church services, etc. This is great since it keeps her active and engaged, which is very important when you are in your upper 90's. It was the best place she could have moved, especially since her children live out of town. We have peace of mind that her needs are being met and she is happy.

It has only been 2 1/2 weeks and our 92 year old parent is absolutely thrilled with everything at Chesterbrook Residences. His only complaint is that he is eating too much.

The staff really make this a caring environment. I couldn't have found a better place for my mother. Every time I visit her, I feel the warmth of the community and she is happy, too.

My mother is happy and comfortable at Chesterbrook Residences. It is a small community with about 100 units so she is getting to know people quickly. The staff all know her and look out for her. I know that she is safe and well cared for. The amentities are fantastic....full service dining room, weekly apartment cleaning, beauty salon, various church services, shuttle to local stores. The only thing that could change would be to have more in house activities. There are several activities scheduled per day, but nothing that my mother really enjoys. More variety would be nice. All in all Chesterbrook is a wonderful value and a great home for older individuals. I expect my mother will be there for many years to come.

The staff is just super. They are very caring about the residents and know what they are doing. They keep a close eye on the residents but do not become intrusive. They have activities but could use more variety. Overall the atmosphere is nice and it's really like an apartment complex. The residents seem to be happy here. They have a hairdresser, a bank and a few other things on site so the residents can plan their day and take care of things without feeling like a burden to others. It just feels more like family and a the community has a sense of life.

We chose this community because we were looking for a place for our mom and this one was in a convenient location. It is located in the same area that the family home is in. The staff is really friendly and the community is very clean. So far she likes it here and we would recommend them to anyone. It was what we needed at the right time.

We visited - met with Kelly. Nice facility; has 2 room/1 bath that could work nicely. Only assisted living - if additional/nursing care required, would have to move to another facilty.

Provided with new application and price listing. Saw one bedroom apts, as no 2 bedrooms available or expected to be available any time soon. Laundry is not done here, though there is a pay laundromat on each floor. Mom has a friend from church here, and we were able to eat dinner with her tonight. Very nice and good service. One resident at dinner had difficulty, and staff helped her quickly. Staff and residents seemed were pleasant and happy. When talking about places, Mom seems to say that she would rather be here than any of the others.

Residents seemed happiest and most involved here. Nice surroundings. Downside is if Mom needed full care (aka if she was bed bound), we'd have to move her.
