The administrative staff of Morningside Washington, IL goes above and beyond to ensure needs are met for your loved ones. Scott went above and beyond to assist moving my parents from their apt in morton to the assisted living and then after mom passed he and his team promptly moved my dad to a unit that better fit his needs. I would highly recommend for those who could benefit from having meals and housekeeping needs met. I wish I would have thought of this much sooner as mom would have loved this years ago! The management team is committed to helping you stay in the home and out of dreaded nursing homes.

Nursing Homes

A nursing home is a building that offers lodging to two or more seniors who are not related by marriage or by blood to the administrator. This type of establishment provides its occupants with around-the-clock care by on-site nurses. These nurses offer maintenance, personal care and other health related services for seniors who are unable to take care of their own needs because of their aging.

Nursing homes are a familiar and easy living alternative for persons 65 years or older, however nursing homes will frequently allow access to persons 55 and older infrequently heard of in senior care regarding other care types. Many residents of nursing homes might have behavioral troubles, which can consist of verbal outbursts, a tendency to wander, or resisting assistance. Examples of amenities and services provided at nursing homes can include skilled nursing or medical care, home care (like cooking, cleaning, or help with other daily activities), injections, and bill pay. As a resident of a nursing home, you can expect the right to get information on services and fees, exercise your rights as a U.S. citizen, get proper privacy, property, and living arrangements, and make complaints. Many inhabitants are single women with smaller social support groups, and almost 50% of nursing home residents are over 85 years old. There are some services that may come at a cost to residents which can include specially prepared food, special care services not included in the community’s Medicaid payment, and personal clothing.
