I absolutely love it here at Gateway. There are lots of activities, food is good, most residents are real nice and easy to get along with. The staff is wonderful. I’m friends with many residents who are awesome. Definitely worth living here.
They struggle keeping it staffed as all I imagine all places do. the location was great for our family, my sister ultimately made the decision to move here.
This is probably a very good thing for my loved one being here, and the activities are great. The staff are friendly and overall I think they care for the residents. Everyone other than residents must wear a mask, and I believe this has kept COVID infections down in the community. The community has a main option for meals and then there is an a la carte option for the residents to choose from if needed. Some of the activities available include cards, bingo, exercise classes, movies, and more for the residents to choose from. My loved one is very interested in all the activities and this has really made our family happy that our loved one enjoys all the activities offered.

Independent living offers a stress-free lifestyle for older adults. Independent living communities don’t provide personal care or supervision, but do offer generally healthy adults opportunities for socialization and hassle-free living. Independent living services often include:
An Independent Living Community provides residents the ability to live an active lifestyle while making sure their care requirements are being fulfilled. Food preparation, leisure activities and housekeeping chores are handled for you while you are unrestricted to use your time as you wish. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to be among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and interests. Typically comprised of a private living area and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and there will be more time to spend with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies differ between locations, a number of residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always utilize the services of independent caregivers. There are a variety of advantages and expenses to balance while determining an independent living community. It is important to determine if these services are covered in your plan: laundry, wellness program, housekeeping, internet access, meals, private phone, cable TV, and transportation. The conveniences associated with independent living include golf course, private rental hall, security guards, fitness center & swimming pool, healthcare center, game/TV room, laundry service, and concierge services.
