We chose The Village at Mercy Creek based on the fact of it being Franciscan, since my mom is catholic. It has overall been a great experience and I would recommend the facility to those looking for assisted living.

Truly all are 5 or we wouldn't have let her enter. Our favorite is the friendliness if the staff, attentive to her needs and the food is amazing! For Central IL. It more expensive than some a tiny less than others. Beautiful Gardens. Walk in closets nice. Well cared for. We feel God's Love at Mercy!

I have all positives about Mercy Creek. The staff is always friendly, calls the residents by their name in the hallway. The food is excellent. I even met the Chef. They really enforce COVID protocols. It is a non-profit. They have a daily activities calendar. Painting, movies, guest speakers, they also have an activities coordinator who send me periodic updates on what the residents are doing

I toured The Village at Mercy Creek and it was a great facility! The cleanliness/friendliness/staff were all great, as well. My mom just thought that one of the other facilities that we had toured felt more homey.
This beautiful facility has a welcoming lobby, a protected/shady court yard, and numerous activity and meeting spaces. The friendly staff knows everyone's names and are most helpful. The Life Enrichment Director and assistant offer a nice variety of activities for the residents. There is a staff-operated van for field trips, shopping, or doctor appointments. A great feature of MC is the ability to tailor their care services to each resident.

Nice community but they did not have the right level of care that I needed for my loved one. The tour was also great and they were able to give me all of the information that I needed.
We chose The Village at Mercy Creek because we were looking for assisted living and when we walked in it did not smell. At the time, they had a discount on the room which made a big difference. Everybody here was super friendly during our experience. Unfortunately my parents did have to move out, but we would recommend as long as your loved one can be more independent.

My daughter had worked with A Place for Mom when we first started the search for my parents but this gorgeous community was not referred to us! I am so happy we came across this through a google search and I couldn't have been more happy with how the team treated us, even through the Covid-19 pandemic. We were able to tour virtually and meet their kind and compassionate team. My mom was even able to meet with a few residents via the computer and the laughter they had was very encouraging. The menu looks amazing, too! It has been hard and quite honestly, a little scary trying to get my parents to make a change but I am so thankful for the kindness, professionalism and expertise the team at the Village of Mercy Creek has. If you are just starting a search or almost to a decision, I'd highly recommend you take the time to look at this diamond in the rough.

A Place for Mom has scored The Village at Mercy Creek 9.5 out of 10 using our proprietary review score.
We assign review scores to give a more reliable view into senior living communities and home care agencies. Our review scores prioritize reviews that are recent — the past 24 months — because we know families need current information when choosing senior care.
Those with many recent, positive reviews receive a high review score, while providers with few recent reviews — regardless of how positive — receive a lower review score. Communities with no recent reviews will not have a review score, even if older reviews are positive. The maximum A Place for Mom review score a community can receive is 10 points.
