Brier Pointe Retirement Community in Morrisville, NC
5.0

We attended an information seminar and we were intrigued by the presentation and eventually became the second couple to move into Brier Pointe when it opened. We were drawn into the community by the promise of all-inclusive services to include meals, housekeeping, paid utilities, transportation services, social activities & events. We have not been disappointed at all. In fact, we've met so many new friends and my husband has received a new lease on life. He was introduced to Chinese brush painting, and this is his new passion. He has painted 45 pieces in 14 months and has even been offered up to $200 for some of his work.

Atria Oakridge in Raleigh, NC
5.0

Atria Oakridge has brought me wonderful fellowship and wellbeing. The activities keep me busy all day- such as pottery, painting, the games and more. The staff treats you like a real person and as a member of their family. I don't have to cook or clean and I enjoy the variety of food! I can get out in the sunshine to mingle and enjoy this beautiful campus. You wont believe it until you see it! Come and see for yourself!

Learn More About Independent Living in Apex, NC

This small suburb of Raleigh offers retirees a quiet place to call home in a community of close-knit residents. Historic sites like the Maynard-Pearson House contribute to Apex’s quaint, small-town feel. Getting the best of both worlds, Apex residents have access to health care and shopping centers to meet their daily needs without ever being too far from Raleigh’s vibrant downtown area.

Independent living communities — also known simply as retirement communities — in Apex are geared towards seniors who are able to live on their own, without daily assistance, and prefer to live among people their age. This usually means residents are self-sufficient and do not require hands-on care. Think of Apex retirement communities as age-restricted (typically 55+) complexes, which provide organized activities, meal services, and transportation.
