I am very happy with the care that my mother is getting at this very nice and home feeling community. The staff is wonderful and very attentive. I like that the community is clean. <y mother is really liking the activities and she likes what is offered. We would highly recommend this small community for great care and value to other families.
I’m living here currently and it’s going really, really well. I’m very pleased. When I moved in, my apartment was perfect. I had new carpet and new paint and it was really a pleasure to be able to move in. I was on the waiting list for a few months but they were able to give me exactly what I wanted, including my own parking space in the underground garage. The staff is very helpful. The only issue I ever see is that maybe someone forgets to vacuum the elevator because it’s a high traffic area but the community room and the lobby is just beautiful and they decorate for every holiday. It makes you feel like you’re living in a house because of the decorating. They don’t serve food but they provide small full-sized kitchens in the apartments. They provide plenty of activities like bingo, card games, there’s a movie every Friday night, and they have special dinner events about once a month. The other residents so far have been very friendly and very welcoming. They’ve met all of my needs and expectations and I would recommend them.
I am very content living at Heritage Woods. My apartment is very comfortable and convenient. The nurses and CNAs are very attentive and convenient. The food is good and I may also eat in my room if I so desire. There are activities every day. Also a small store 2 days a week.

Many seniors may be physically and mentally capable of living without assistance, but cost of owning a home and the maintenance of the property might deter them from enjoying an otherwise independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities offer a convenient alternative. Basic needs such as meal planning and housekeeping are handled by staff and a calendar of recreational and leisure activities is maintained, allowing residents an opportunity to use their time as they choose, free from daily responsibilities. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy an opportunity to live among peers, in a community with others of similar ages and interests. Within the individual units, residents have access to a private living space and a full kitchen, and can even live with a companion if they choose. While policies vary between communities, numerous residences allow cats and dogs as well. If medical or nursing assistance is desired, residents may always enlist the services of private health care professionalls. There are a number of benefits and expenses to consider when determining an independent living community. It is important to determine if these amenities are included in your care plan: laundry, parking, utilities, internet access, private phone, housekeeping, move-in fee, and wellness program. The luxuries that pertain to independent living include fitness center & swimming pool, restaurant-style dining hall, laundry service, transportation, golf course, concierge services, beauty salon & barber shop, and community activities.
