Sunrise of Crystal Lake helps residents and their families feel at home the moment they walk through the front door. Compassionate staff prioritizes residents and helps them retain as much of their independence as possible while also providing protection, comfort, and privacy. This quaint, inclusive community has two stories and around 70 residents, with a vivacious, welcoming, and energetic feel.
Sunrise of Crystal Lake is tucked away in a peaceful residential neighborhood in McHenry County, Illinois. There’s an abundance of beautiful gardens as well as a bountiful vegetable garden, paved walking paths, and a secured Reminiscence memory care courtyard. There’s also a gazebo that residents can relax under while connecting with friends and drinking cocktails.

After searching for months through 20+ facilities to find the right place for our father I was pleasantly surprised by the sunrise of Crystal Lake community. We could not wait to get our father out of his current memory care and into sunrise and when we finally did we realized it was the best move we could’ve made. Everything from the facilities to the people is incredible. The communication about every little detail has been nothing short of exceptional and i can now feel that our father truly has the best care we can provide for him! Any reservations or phobia I used to have about visiting my father in a memory care unit are gone. The facilities are so clean and the staff is so pleasant that I actually look forward to going and spending time with my father.

Custom value. We looked at 7 different facilities and found Sunrise of Crystal Lake to be the most caring, warm family type place. Team member we would like to recognize- oh my!!! Everyone!!! Front desk ladies are fantastic! Always answering my questions and helping. [name removed] in sales was so sweet and caring. I felt that my Mother's meals could have been w/a little more variety even though her food was puréed. My Mother was kept clean & was carefully watched for any redness in her bottom area. Breakfast, lunch & dinner were kept on schedule for the most part. Could not comment on activities because my Mother was not in any condition to participate. She was only there for 1 month.

Very warm and friendly place. Everyone working here are so friendly and personable! Such a warm homey feeling here. Staff is attentive, remembers family, and encourages interaction through events with family. Open door is a very good way to describe the overall feel.

The staff at Sunrise are great. They are very caring, friendly, and really do make an effort to get to know the residents. They are helpful and do everything to make the resident and family experience the best possible. I would recommend Sunrise Crystal Lake to anyone looking for short-term or long-term care for a loved one.

My mom loves it here. It's a nice and small place. It's worked out really well for her. Unfortunately, due to rising monthly cost and level of care need, we're looking at having to move her to another facility, which they've been trying to help us with. I would recommend them to friends and family for assisted living.
