Everybody was extremely nice and helpful in getting me in touch with the right resources to move my loved one into the place. I thought it was a good facility and I can not think of any improvements that need to be made.

I JUST REALLY LIKE THE PLACE THE FIRST VISIT TO IT THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND MADE US FEEL LIKE WE WERE ALREADY AT HOME.

Benton House of Newnan Lakes
5.0

This is a very homey style community. The Executive Director knows what she is doing. The staff truly care and they offer exceptional care for the residents. The staff are good at communicating with the family. Also, the Executive Director is good at making referrals for additional services provided by Medicare and following up on requests by the family. There are three meals a day offered to the residents. Benton House truly understands the difficulties of families and their aging loved one. During the tour, there was an industry staff member that goes into several different communities, and they even thought this was the best community around.

Complete guide to independent living

Fairburn, Georgia

Independent Living

For many seniors, the cost burden of home ownership and the upkeep of the property might be a deterrent to enjoying an otherwise independent lifestyle. Independent Living Communities offer a solid remedy. Residents may use their free time as they see fit while their meals are cooked by a professionall chef, housekeeping and laundry duties are handled by staff, and social activities are organized and scheduled. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to be among peers, in a community with others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Typically consisting of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer homes with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and there will be more time to spend with them with the basic maintenance of daily tasks out of the way. While policies vary between locations, many residences allow cats and dogs as well. Nursing and health care services can always be arranged for with private care providers if desired. There are a number of benefits and expenses to balance while deciding on an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these services are covered in your care plan: field trips, wellness program, laundry, initial assessment fee, Waiting list deposit, private phone, meals, and cable TV. The benefits and amenities that pertain to independent living include restaurant-style dining hall, concierge services, private rental hall, fitness center & swimming pool, security guards, game/TV room, healthcare center, and beauty salon & barber shop.
