I JUST REALLY LIKE THE PLACE THE FIRST VISIT TO IT THE STAFF WAS VERY HELPFUL AND MADE US FEEL LIKE WE WERE ALREADY AT HOME.

Benton House of Newnan Lakes
5.0

This is a very homey style community. The Executive Director knows what she is doing. The staff truly care and they offer exceptional care for the residents. The staff are good at communicating with the family. Also, the Executive Director is good at making referrals for additional services provided by Medicare and following up on requests by the family. There are three meals a day offered to the residents. Benton House truly understands the difficulties of families and their aging loved one. During the tour, there was an industry staff member that goes into several different communities, and they even thought this was the best community around.

Complete guide to independent living

Fayetteville, Georgia

Independent Living

Many seniors may be able to live without assistance, but the financial burden of home ownership and the maintenance of daily tasks and chores might be a deterrent to living an independent life. Independent Living Communities provide a good solution. Daily needs such as meal planning and the scheduling of social activities are accounted for, which provides seniors more free time to live active lives as they wish. Along with their daily needs being met, residents can enjoy the opportunity to live among peers, surrounded by others of similar age groups and backgrounds. Typically comprised of a private living space and a full kitchen, these communities offer residences with many of the amenities of apartment life but without the hassle. Guests can be invited over and entertained, and more time can be spent with them with the basic maintenance of daily chores out of the way. While policies differ between communities, many residences allow pets as well. Nursing and health care services may always be arranged for with private care providers as desired. There are an assortment of costs and benefits to balance while choosing an independent living community. It is important to figure out if these services are covered in your care plan: Waiting list deposit, cable TV, wellness program, housekeeping, meals, internet access, laundry, and field trips. The benefits associated with independent living include private rental hall, concierge services, beauty salon & barber shop, game/TV room, security guards, restaurant-style dining hall, laundry service, and healthcare center.
